Jack Twist died 3 months ago. Nothing could change that now. What could have been haunts Ennis Del Mar for eternity. Maybe if he was there to save him, maybe then the world would keep spinning.

Five years after the death of Jack Twist, Ennis finally drinks himself to death, and is ready to be united with his soulmate.

This story is based on a roleplay about Brokeback Mountain that I've been doing with a friend for a few months. All credit for the characters goes to the author of the book, but the story and writing were entirely done by us. This book aims to be a reinterpretation of what's seen in the movies, altering the way events unfold. It can be viewed as an alternative story where the characters are rewritten slightly differently, reflecting how we perceive them. The narrative structure may vary throughout the chapters since this originally started as a roleplay rather than a story written by a single person. I hope you can understand and enjoy the different writing styles each of us brings.

In 1963, rodeo cowboy Jack Twist and ranch hand Ennis Del Mar are hired by rancher Joe Aguirre as sheep herders in Wyoming. One night on Brokeback Mountain, Jack makes a drunken pass at Ennis that is eventually reciprocated. Though Ennis marries his longtime sweetheart, Alma, and Jack marries a fellow rodeo rider, the two men keep up their tortured and sporadic affair over the course of 20 years.

The holidays have swept through Riverton, leaving Ennis Del Mar to celebrate in the way that he's used to. A memory opens up a desire he'd been void of, and a phone call makes it one that he wishes to fill.

Ennis and Jack decide to finally take things seriously.

I'm going to give you that. I'll do my best to stay as true as possible to the original story and turn this into a sort of Brokeback Mountain 2 ;) Ps maybe this story can be a little bit more spicy but I don't know let me know lol

I couldn't get over the sad ending, so I decided to write my own continuation, one that is realistic and happy. Because, all the continuations I've seen on Wattpad were really disappointing for many reasons. They were either illogical or just focused on adding exaggerated or unrealistic events. I needed something that would bring comfort and restore hope after such a tragic ending. So, I decided to create my own version, trying to craft a better conclusion that feels more real and reflects true hope. Enjoy!
