There is a broad agreement between Science and Historical Christianity about the end of the world. Eschatology is a field of study in science. Physical Eschatology is a scientific field of study that studies the end of this world. This article engages the following themes within the context of the end of the world: 1. Secular scientists have moved the doomsday clock 100 seconds to midnight! 2. Scientists believe that our universe will eventually end. 3. Convergence and divergence between Science and Christianity about the end of the world. 4. Scientists believe in the sudden and imminent extinction of our universe. 5. Physical Eschatology provides sufficient scope for the existence of a transcendent Creator of the universe. Read more... Read time: 9 min (approx)

This book is a brief overview of the Bible, especially centred on the prophetic and Eschatology or End Times. The importance of God's word should be paramount in our thinking in order for us to have true peace and rest. Only the Word of God Gives us that because according to His word He is still alive and always will be. God has a magnificent plan for each one of us and it is revealed in God's Book, through belief in Jesus, Saviour of the world. I have written it as simply as I can.

Could the writings of the ancient Hebrew prophets be relevant to events taking place in the world today? These Hebrew prophets – Isaiah, Jeremiah, Habbakuk and the apostle John, in The Revelation – wrote extensively about a latter day city and empire which would dominate, exploit and corrupt all the nations of the world. They referred to it as Babylon the Great, or Mega-Babylon, and they foretold that its fall – 'in one day' – would devastate the economies of the whole world. Have these prophecies been fulfilled already? Is Mega-Babylon: the Roman Catholic Church? a world super-church? rebuilt ancient Babylon? Brussels? Jerusalem? or somewhere entirely different? Should this city/nation have a large Jewish population? Why all the talk about merchants, cargoes, commodities, trade? Can we rely on the words of these ancient prophets? If so, what else did they foretell that is still to be fulfilled? Do they refer to other major nations: USA? Russia? China? Europe? What about militant Islam? Author and radio presenter, Raymond McCullough, examines these questions of biblical prophecy, building his case in a step by step 'construction' approach. He identifies modern day Mega-Babylon, shows us why we can and should rely on the words of these prophets and gives us an overview of their other important prophecies soon to be fulfilled in these last days.

The New Testament epistles tell us that Jesus will be born in the end-times (Galatians 4:4; Ephesians 1:10; Revelation 12:5). Jesus is said to die "once in the end of the world" (Hebrews 9:26 KJV), which is attested in Zephaniah 1:7! Scripture also informs us that the Lord (Messiah) will be resurrected in the end-times (Isaiah 2:19; Daniel 12:1; 1 Corinthians 15:22-24). According to British theologian James Dunn, Jesus probably meant that he would be resurrected in the end-times. In the New Testament epistles, Jesus is said to appear once "at the final point of time" (1 Peter 1:20 NJB) and that he will speak to humanity in the "last days" ( Hebrews 1:2; cf. Acts 3:20-21). Even Luke 17:30 tells us that the Son of Man has not yet been revealed. First Peter 1:10-11 reveals that the New Testament account of Jesus is prophetic, not historical. Revelation 19:10 also tells us that the testimony to Jesus is prophetic. Besides, a historical Jesus would contradict Gal. 4:4; Eph. 1:10; Heb. 9:26; 1 Pet. 1:20; Rev. 12:5, and so on. Our basic misunderstanding stems from the fact that we have relied on the theological gospels. However, the gospels are nonhistorical theological narratives that rely heavily on Old Testament stories. There were no eyewitnesses and no firsthand accounts. By contrast, the New Testament epistles are the more didactic and explicit portions of Scripture. They are written in expository style which is straightforward and aims to inform. So, the New Testament epistles give us the real Jesus, and they place the timeline of his birth, death, and resurrection in eschatological categories! Bottom line, the New Testament is an apocalypse, not a history (cf. Isaiah 46:10)! It is a futurist book that is written in advance!

Most bible scholars mistakenly assume that the first horseman of Revelation 6:2 is the Antichrist. However, a careful translation and exegesis of the Greek text will clearly show that the white horseman cannot possibly be the Antichrist. He can only be Jesus Christ!
