Three Irish children are subjected to ridicule after they witness an apparition.

Fernandinho's life could not possibly get worse. After her parents have been involved in a devastating car crash leaving her mum dead and her dad permanently brain damaged. But on the day she wants to break free, she is trapped in a war more terrifying than anything she has experienced.

I watched the strange boy drinking the river water desperately. I had climbed on a crooked branch atop a leafy tree to look at him. He is directly under the branch I'm on. I observed his unusual features, his long dark hair was pulled back in a messy way atop his head and a strong jawline like the boys in the village. But his skin is light, unlike our dark skins. I peered closer over the branch to see if I can see his eyes. Then I heard it a 'crack' from the branch I'm on. Shit! Then a louder one. The boy looked up. Two eyes laced with panic met a pair of surprised ones. Deep emerald eyes like the forest on the island. Then the branch succumbed to gravity and well I fell. It's summer and Jake Aldridge's parents invite him to their new private island, much to his dislike... Little did he know he would meet a mysterious girl on their island.... Which he tries to find again... But there is more... the main reason he was invited on the island.... Will he ever find her back? Will he agree with the reason he was invited? "Save your time..." were the last words Mel's mother spoke. After hearing her mother died, her father left her, and lived with a new family and job. Mel lives with a foster family, who are interested in adopting her. She's mysterious, but popular and pretty, while loyal and kind.
