Title: VAELTHORN: The Ash That Crowns Kings Tagline: He was pushed off a platform and left to die. He went deeper instead. Kael Dawnbrook was nobody. A dungeon porter. The kind of person nobles looked through. The kind of person you pushed off a ledge on Floor 5 when he became inconvenient - and forgot about before you reached Floor 6. He didn't die. He went down. One hundred floors later, he came back up as something the world didn't have a word for yet. No revenge. No throne to claim. No chosen-one prophecy. Just a farm boy with a Gacha Book, a floating island, and a very simple idea: What if nobody owned anyone? VAELTHORN is the story of how one man built a kingdom from nothing - not with armies or birthright, but with bread, footnotes, an underground railroad, and the stubborn belief that where you came from should never decide what you get to be. It has a baby dragon who sets things on fire. It has gods on holiday eating dumplings. It has a thirteen-year-old who causes romantic chaos with a notebook. It has a found family that fought for each other across three years and eleven floating islands. And it has Kael - who never wanted a crown, built one anyway, and wore it for everyone who was never supposed to have one. The ash that crowns kings doesn't come from fire. It comes from everything that burned so something better could grow.

Our world is much the same as yours. It functions the same, in ways of nature, economy, even the work force. But in so many ways it is different. Whereas your world is one mass, one giant sphere separating its lands with water, Rift is made of many, of countless floating plates of stone, ranging in size from mere pebbles to kilometres in size. While you call your inner soul your spirit, our Spirits are our lifelong companions, animal beings which we somehow find in our first two years, and share an instant and everlasting friendship and psychic bond. But one thing that never changes is mans hunger for power. There will always be a greater evil, a force trying take hold of the world for itself. This darkness can take many forms, and it will never dissipate, only changing its form. But, in the same sense, a light will always burn strong to fend it off. A light, however young or old, however skilled or not, will be there, to fight. This is the story of our light

This is the second in the series "A Book of Stories." The first book, "Of Stones and Such" paved the way for more offspring in this set. In some of these stories, you may find a few familiar names and places. There is quite a bit of violence and pseudo-sexual content. It's still not what I would classify as Mature, but there are themes that tickle the line, and there are also things that may seem offensive to some. Ah well ... Life is what it is. There's goodie-goodie stuff too ... just like in real life. Sometimes there is good in the bad, and bad in the good.

Hyrule; a story world above the clouds. Starfall; the surface world that doesn't believe in floating islands. Legends of cities in the sky roll across the lands, but no one really believes in them. Only Kaebora, a middle-aged theoretical scientist, and his daughter Zelda openly proclaim that they believe in places such as Hyrule. Read on to enjoy a twisting tale of Falling Worlds~ I've been getting more and more annoyed, so I'll say it here in the descriptions. Please don't swear in my comment section. In a realm where islands drift in the sky and the sea below is a forbidden abyss, the only thing more dangerous than the fall is the arrival of a new world. For generations, the people of the Kite Islands have lived in harmony with the wind and the living lands they call home. Leilani, a gifted tufuga who communes with the spirit-song of her island, is her people's anchor to the ancient ways. But when a cataclysmic storm, the Matagi, threatens to shatter her world, she makes a desperate bargain with a forgotten power, sacrificing the one thing a spirit-talker cannot live without: her voice. Her silence is only the beginning of the calamity. A ship of iron and sail, bearing men from the world below, breaches the sky and crashes onto her shores. These "Outlanders" are survivors of a different kind-men with strange technologies, a rigid faith that sees magic as darkness, and maps that seek to conquer and own. Among them is Elias Voss, a guilt-ridden cartographer whose unique compass points not north, but toward his deepest fears. Forced into a fragile alliance against the island's wrath, a looming celestial threat, and an ancient abyssal god stirring in the depths, the islanders and the newcomers must navigate a chasm of mistrust. Leilani must find a new way to lead without her voice. A young zealot, Tama, must question the very foundations of his faith. And Elias must decide if the charts he makes will lead to redemption or the ruin of a world he never knew existed. From Fun History, The Sky Beneath Our Feet is a breathtaking work of historical fantasy that combines the rich, anthropological world-building of Ursula K. Le Guin with the epic adventure and cultural stakes of Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is a powerful and imaginative tale about colonialism, resilience, and the clash between ancient magic and relentless ambition. When two worlds collide, who pays the price for survival? And what new histories will be written in the sky?
