Anthony Porter is a sergeant that has been recruited into the United Nations Space Force. He and his new crewmates are tasked to travel to Mars and retrieve the scientist Doctor Braddock. When their plans go awry, Anthony and the rest of the crew search the System for a woman named Beta. Her importance is vital, since she holds information that could alter the System and the course of humanity forever. "Seventy-Six" works for the private company BlackDiamond as an operative, or so he believes. After falling victim to excruciating torture, he struggles to cope with the new life being thrust upon him. He decides to help BlackDiamond with their plans to unify the System in hopes of uncovering the truth about his past. ***DISCLAIMER*** Some chapters, especially the earlier ones, have very graphic scenes that feature heavy amounts of blood, gore, and torture. Life ran smoother on the Q-Link, a surgically embedded neural chip that let you see the world through your own eyes... but better. No more phones, no more awkward screens. You could scroll TikTok with a thought, order coffee with a blink, and stream your dreams in real time if you wanted to. People danced at silent raves, laughed at memes no one else could hear, dated in virtual cat cafés from across the planet - all without moving a muscle. Max was one of them. Twenty-two, Brooklyn-born, chronically curious. He was charming, lowkey viral, and just detached enough to surf the dopamine tides without drowning. His best views came from inside his skull. His favorite music? Beamed directly into his auditory cortex. His mornings? Coffee shops full of beautiful, silent people - each lost in their own tailored universe. Then there was Clara - smart, fearless, the face of their joint YouTube Xtreme channel where they filmed high-adrenaline neuro-sim stunts for millions of neural feeds. She'd once simulated a zero-gravity skydive into a digital volcano and came out grinning. Life was curated chaos, but under control. Or so they thought. Because beneath the fun - the neuro-cocktails, virtual pet cafés, and pulse-synced club scenes - something darker was humming. A whisper. A pattern. A question that shouldn't have been asked. What if someone wasn't just watching the feed... What if they were writing it? And by the time Max and Clara realized they were no longer the storytellers but the story itself - the script had already begun.

Story I wrote

Given near immortality by advanced technology, what does it mean to be human? As we invent technology that can repair our bodies, simulate our brains, and allow us to plug ourselves into our computers at an ever-increasing degree, where is the line between artificial and human intelligence? Dare we cross it? Who-or what-will we be, if we do? Do we have a choice, or is it inevitable? These are some of the big questions faced by the narrator of this well-written tale. In the near future, a small company struggles to keep control of its extremely disruptive proprietary technology: telepathic computing. Based on my own experiences in the modern tech industry, intermixed with characters and themes inspired by Norse mythology. Axon, Inc. explores a probable future that is just a few years away, but almost unimaginable. It’s an odd thing, but science fiction authors have almost never included telepathic computers in their stories. Human telepaths, sure, and telepathic aliens — but not telepathic computers. Perhaps we intuitively feel that they’re just impossible, unbelievable. Yet they’re very possible, and extremely useful. (It may be that in one hundred years, the fact that there are no telepathic computers in Star Trek will look even more ludicrous than their dictionary-sized tricorders.) It disturbs you - when a person - a man, wearing a bright purple shirt - is out of rhythm with the ticking of the Clocks.
