"In this strange world, we're not the only ones... there's someone lurking in every turn."
Soleia has always been the girl people whispered about in the hallways-brilliant, observant, but "problematic." Whether it was her sharp tongue or her refusal to follow the rules, she never quite fit the mold of a model student. But her world changes forever when she wakes up in a empty version of her city that has been scrubbed of life. The bustling jeepneys are abandoned in the middle of the road, the street food stalls are cold, and the neon lights of the shops flicker over empty pavements.
She is in "No Human's Land," a mirror dimension where humanity has been replaced by The Lurkers-grotesque, shadow-like monsters that hunt by the sound of a heartbeat and other terrifying monsters.
Soleia soon discovers she isn't entirely alone. Other people have been pulled into this gray world, all driven by a single, chilling directive broadcasted from a massive, impossible tower rising from the distant countryside: "Reach the summit to return."
But the tower holds a cruel secret. It's gates are fueled by sacrifice, and it's mechanics are clear: Only one soul can pass through the final door. As Soleia navigates the blood-stained streets and the psychological traps of the tower, she must use her brain to outsmart both the monsters in the shadows and the desperate survivors beside her. In a world where empathy is a weakness and betrayal is a tool, Soleia must decide: how much of her humanity is she willing to leave behind to find her way home?
