Azuria City is a lattice of towers and flight lanes where megacorps buy air and sell silence. From the Citadel, a voice known only as Overlord selects five candidates and erases their pasts. Their new name is Regiment Omega. Raze is the youngest captain in Omega history, a calm marksman who sees wars like geometry. Bravo breaks the doors. Trek bends the grid. Sable keeps the pulse steady. Trace vanishes before anyone knows he was there. They do not trust each other yet. They do not have time to learn. Their first orders arrive in transit. Extract an asset buried under a corporate tower. Burn the data. Leave nothing. But every command has a cost, and Overlord's crown is a mirror. Follow the voice, or hear what it is hiding.

In the neon-lit sprawl of Kaizhun, a city pulsing with the chaos of technology and treachery, alliances are forged and broken in the shadows. Zac, a principled leader with a fierce commitment to justice, finds himself entangled in a dangerous web of corruption when he reluctantly joins forces with Kai, the enigmatic head of the vigilante group Kirxia. With a dark past shrouded in mystery and an unyielding sense of loyalty to his team, Kai challenges everything Zac thought he knew about morality in a city ruled by capitalism's malevolent grip. As they confront the ruthless Serpent faction, a powerful syndicate that holds Kaizhun's citizens in a stranglehold, their differing views on justice and sacrifice come to a head. Alongside their teams-a group of fierce women and a band of misfits-their mission spirals into a high-stakes battle for survival, revealing hidden secrets that could shatter the foundations of their city. As tensions rise, so too do the unspoken feelings between Zac and Kai, a complex relationship that dances on the line between camaraderie and something deeper. In the aftermath of destruction and chaos, they must navigate their own emotions while leading a rebellion against the darkness threatening to consume them. Veils of Kaizhun explores themes of humanity, the blurred lines of good and evil, and the price of loyalty in a world where every choice can lead to liberation or despair. As the final confrontation looms, Zac and Kai must confront their pasts, their values, and the undeniable bond forming between them-all while fighting for the future of a city on the brink of collapse.

War for fun! War for profit! War for the tangible benefits and flexible pay scheme! Given the limited career options available to me back in the people-choked hellhole that is the Arcology, becoming a mercenary - sorry, 'Corporate Defence Assistant' - seemed a very good choice at the time. Free food, free rent, free drugs and at least half of my medical bills covered is a deal anyone in my position would be crazy not to consider. All they ask in return is to stick a chip in my head, a gun in my hand and have me risk messy death somewhere for the bottom line of some faceless megacorp I've probably never heard of. If I can avoid the robots, the corporate shock troopers, the sentient vapours and the surprisingly unhappy locals I'll even get a completion bonus! Assuming my paperwork is in order. I fail to see how any of this could go wrong for me.
