Allison Owen was 13 when she had no choice but to take a desperate deal with the Governor, a choice she made for the safety of her friends. Three years later, still haunted by those memories, she finds herself on the run, seeking refuge within the walls of a prison, which held a small group of survivors. But was safety just an illusion? In a world where the dead aren't the only threat, Ally learns there is more to life than survival. As everything around her unravels, Ally stumbles upon a truth buried deep in her past, falls in love, and truly learns what it means to lose someone. Could the risks she takes be her biggest downfall?
