Her best friend, Québec Price, has black hair and the softest navy eyes a person will ever see. America thinks this modern, millennial life will be the best life she's ever had...
    
    But she is wrong.
    
    A horrific terrorist attack planned by a group of extremists in the summer of 2001 leaves thousands dead and America's heart in pieces on the ground. She wants her mind to return to normal after developing PTSD, but she feels there is nothing she can do to fix herself. There is something that can help her heal, though. Will that something be the unexpected move to a thriving Midwest metropolis with a big arch far away from the devastated New York City she once loved? 
    
    Can kind, patient Québec and some other significant people convince America to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart and try to have the normal life she strives for?
