The year is 1829. Jean Valjean, unknown to him, was less than 4 years away from his death, and his only hope was to escape his justified punishment long enough to save a small child from the misery of life in a fallen world. He was aware of the sins of men, and the sins in his own heart, and justice was chasing him. Would he save the child, before he was swallowed up? In March of 1829, the falsely accused Edmond Dantes escaped his prison, the Chateaux D'if, and shortly after he found the treasure of Monte Cristo. Now, with his coffers full, he began the decade long process of exacting his methodical revenge on those that stole his life. Here is a chance meeting between this supposed count and this true convict. Justice and mercy meet in a Parisian tavern one cold October night in 1829. Let us lean in and listen. 3rd Place in Walk By Faith Awards
