"Don't take another step," Malakai warns me causing my whole body to go tense as I turn back over my shoulder to face him, "I'm not done with you."

I visibly gulp at his warning, biting my inner cheek to try keep my attention away from my impending doom. Maybe I should make a run for it? If he's not expecting it then I might be able to get away?

"You're in deep shit now Angel."

"You're not as evil as people think you are." I stare at this beautifully broken man in front of me, taking him in for all that he is.

"No. I'm worse."
