    A story of a family grown apart, old secrets coming to light, and a power and danger that comes with it.
    
    In light of their recent, yet still epic, victory, the ninjas have taken up teaching at Sensei Wu's academy as a sort of retirement from fighting. Lloyd, on the other hand, has been visiting the entire land of Ninjago, on a sort of a victory run so it's just been Misako, Garmadon, and their daughter Thorn. Thorn is a sharp-witted, gothic, and a pessimistic young lady who for the largest part of her life been left alone by her family but now their family is able to be together again, for better or for worse. Her time away has made her disconnected from her family and their traditions and lifestyle, forging her own path in the world rather they like it or not.
