With You

"I'm a twin", he finally blurted out.

I repeated myself again, "what do you mean?"

"I have a twin", he repeated himself slower as if suddenly we weren't speaking the same language anymore.

Too dumbfounded to form a coherent thought, I asked again, "what do you mean you have a twin?"

Clearly reaching his patience level, he reached across the coffee table and hit me on my forehead. Suddenly thoughts began pouring into my brain. "Just don't tell me you've been pulling that twin shit where the two of you were switching back and forth without people knowing. Especially to me," I responded, feeling a bit hurt.

"I'm a..." Elliot began to say but the empty house was filled with a lively conversation and an angelic laughter.

"I'm a fraternal twin", he clarified.
