Mariah Gibson is a young adult from Oakheart, Alabama who finds out that she has a strange heart connection to the town's enemy, who they call the devil. As when she turned twenty-one, she was surprised to find out it was because he happened to be her soulmate. Now being able to see the differences between the shades of colors and how they portray emotions, it has made her life both better and worst.
