When I opened my eyes to figure out about the white light, I saw that my hands glowed a silver glow. It was sort of like the white light I saw in my head but a little darker. While I was staring at it, the wind started to somehow communicate with me and just repeated what it said. "Wishing upon the stars that shine bright, may I make this wish tonight for him to go even if wants to take control. Take him away and far beyond the sky can reach, where the prison meets the moonlight. Cause him pain until he dies since he belongs being alone, thanks to the glow of his heart being paired with nobody but stuck up selfish self."A glow surrounded Nate as his head turned in my direction, "You're so sneaky huh.." I heard him say as I repeated the words and the glow became brighter like the white light I had seen. By the third time I yelled it, and it was bright as if you stared into the sun. "I will end this now as you will go insane and be in pain and misery soon, as my final words that will haunt you for the rest of your life and I hope you don't forget. But I will be back for you even if I am not in plain sight.." He disappeared into the light as my mom and Grandma Bailey looked at me strangely.
"Where on Earth did you learn that.." I shrugged, "The wind. It was telling me the words.", She raised a brow, "Well thank the wind I guess as it had saved us. And honestly I couldn't bother to hear another word from him as it just sounded like blah..blah..blah in my brain.." They both laughed as when I turned and saw Jacob, he had his hands on his head just like when the arrow had made a cut on him. I frowned while I helped mom and grandma untie them, "Why does everything feel like a blur..and why does my head hurt again.." They looked at me and shooed me to go to him so I walked up to him.
"Another thing is how'd I get up also.." He looked me in the eyes, "Maya. What is going on.." I took out the ring grabbed one of his hands and closed my eyes and muttered, "From this day forward, from the stars above that helped form this constellation, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part, this ring shall protect anyone from all sirens and evil yet to come in their paths.." his red eyes faded away and back to his brown eyes when I placed it on his ring finger. I then leaned in to give him a kiss and told him minor things and what his so-called buddy Nathan was up to. "That's a lot to take in..and dang can't believe that had happened..but I will say I am glad I didn't kill you."
"Yeah luckily you didn't. So may I suggest we go grab lunch then..maybe this time at your home." he tilted his head, "All the way in Oak City?" I laughed and mentioned his mother's restaurant, "Oh. Interestingly enough, she is not open at the end of December. So if you want to eat lunch at my real house, then I suggest we travel to Oak City, basically, the place where I grew up." I turned to my mom and she nodded, which was my sign for I was allowed to go with him. "Okay. We can go but only on one condition.."
He crossed his arms, "And what must that be?", "I will have to fly us there." I smiled as he smirked, "So you fly now..alright..alright..I may have missed a chapter but if you fly there, I will fly the way back." I laughed, "Ok. Deal.." he held my hands as I let go of one to snap my fingers as the wings came out looking like the normal shades of pure white. When we took off into the air traveling through the clouds, he showed me a shortcut onto where in Oak City he had lived and grew up before he had moved out. I then let him take the lead towards his house, as it was snowing slightly for where I could hold the snowflakes in my hand before they melt. Then the anonymous letter message came across my mind;
Dear
Mariah Jamie Gibson,
Maya if I may say as I heard you prefer it, I want this to be clear, I don't believe what is there to see as everything isn't what it seems. So one may be a flirt but the other one also may have no wits. There will also be one who will surely try but ultimately fail to be with you. So choose wisely my girl as there are three out for one even though two hide a secret.
