Cleo Miranda Adams is a part-time clerk at a small antique shop and an aspiring guitarist. Music has been part of her life since birth. After a tough loss, she focuses on building a name for herself and doing what she loves.

Billionaire and perfectionist Christopher James Moretti is the CEO of Moretti Designs, passed to him by his late father, Sergio Moretti. Chris is a creative designer and beloved boss. He ensures there are no mistakes and gets what he wants.

Cleo is a little nervous playing for the infamous Moretti family when hired to play at his company's annual autumn appreciation ball. Everything has to be perfect.

"I am not responsible. Sofia jeopardized my company. The past is in the past, and I put it behind me," I snap at him.

"Yet she's dead," he says plainly.

"This is the last time I'm asking. What do you want?" I'm really not doing this today. He reaches in his jacket and pulls out a paper with my logo on it. He opens it and throws it on my desk.

I realize what it is, and it's like time stopped. I try my best to hide the shaking in my hand as I reach for it. "Why do you have this?" My eyes burn from anger and panic.

"Let's just say it's my ticket to vengeance. Shut down the new line or your company burns,"
