The Lost Prince

To a Kingdom in mourning comes two saviors. Word of Prince Lucan's disappearance was spread far and wide in the Kingdom of Salara. Even making it across the sea to the neighboring Kingdom of Atiria. The news upset the king of Atiria as he was hoping to marry one of his daughters to the young prince. The news also reached traveler and childhood friend of the prince Rainer Asoto. Originally born into nobility thus his friendship with Prince Lucan however his claim to such a life has been long gone when his father tried to usurp King Zane of Salara. Through no fault of his own his father was hanged for treason and Rainer along with his mother were exiled. She didn't last long in exile and succumbed to poisoning by eating a poisonous fruit. Thus Rainer was now all alone at the age of 10. A rough path now lay ahead of young Rainer but he was a fighter and with his skills in all things arcane he learned how to survive and live. At 18 he received a latter stamped with the royal seal of Salara. Thinking it was from his dear friend Lucan he opened it only to cry. It was from the king, "Lucan has been missing for 2 years now....and no demands have been made for his return. He was on his way to the Port town of Asoria to take the farry bound for Atiria. Though it pains me to do this...I must conclude he is dead....I am holding a service for him....I know it would please him if you were to come. I was foolish not to listen to my son then...he begged me to overthrow your exile....now I'll never see him again...you were like a son to me. Please return to us" it read. Thus his journey begins.
