Munachi, for short, Muna, faces so much assaults, and domestic violence from the hands of the man she married and loves so dearly:

"Leave me alone, don't touch me!"

"Who the hell do you think you are, telling me what to do?"

"Help! Somebody help!"

Including the taunting words from her vicious mother-in-law:

". . . your childlessness is a punishment for your unchaste life as a spinster! . . ."

"She's a slut! . . . You just had to open those legs of yours for another man."

Muna faces more calamities when her husband died and all evidence points directly at her.
