He left me alone for what seemed to be about four days. I didn't even hear him, and at times thought about escaping but I was so afraid that it was a test. So, I just took advantage of the time and rested. I tried to rest every muscle, every bone in my body. But I also used the time to work out, as quiet as I could. As far as I could tell there were not any cameras, so I did sit ups, push- ups, and jumping jacks, stretches and anything I could think of. He had left bags of chips, some fruit that I ate the first day, because I thought I would get more the next day. He left jugs of water and pull-top cans of some vegetables. It was the second day that I realized that maybe he wasn't coming back, and I began to ration my food.
