When seventeen year old Evera Wolf decides to leave the city, and her increasingly unstable mother, to move back to her father and small-town life, she finds more than she ever dreamt of finding; love, friends and horses, but will her old life stay where she left it? Evera’s return is not without struggle as her relationship with her father is uncomfortable and she does not get along with her stepmother Maggie. Homeschooled for much of her life Evera doesn’t know anyone her age. First day of school she meets Kayla and Jesse who will become her best friends. She also meets Adam who makes it no secret that he is interested in her. A couple of weeks and a weird date with Adam later she literally bumps into Cillian who has just returned home after yet another extravagant vacation. The attraction between Evera and Cillian is tangible and Evera’s future is looking bright. She is getting closer to her father and she has made some great friends and she has fallen in love. The only dark cloud on her horizon are the increasingly worrying messages she is receiving from her mother. One day her mother shows up outside of school and Evera’s life takes a turn for the worse.
