A.J. lives with her fiancé in the quiet, rural Scottish Borders. They share their home with two cats and a dog.

Inspired as a child by CS Lewis' Narnia collection, AJ started writing stories at the tender age of nine years old. Years later,  with two daughters to raise, she took a couple of writing courses where she earned a Diploma in Creative Writing.

In 2016, her daughters encouraged her to post stories on Wattpad, primarily trying her hand at Fanfiction. As an avid player of 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕, she started with The Sarah & Khadgar Chronicles - a collection of 4 books with 2 spin-offs. Also using the penname NightElflady, AJ has been fortunate to win several contests and awards for her stories.

Her personal story of surviving a head-on collision in 2022 in which she sustained severe injuries and then discovered she also had stage 4 cancer, is in the pipeline as a future project. In it, she also explains how Spiritualism has helped her recover.
