Teone's Point of View~

I turned on the television and saw that someone's trial was pending. I switched the channel and found the car station. It was showing off a new vehicle by Tesla.

You can't afford that car, dirty bitch. "And you can't neither," I murmured back. I moved my way to the kitchen and got some snacks out of the pantry. One of the things I loved about being grown is that I now have freedom of when and what I wanna eat. No, we eat what I say bitch. Being black had been taking a toll on my stomach and taste buds. There's so many times that a person could eat pork chops, chicken, hot dogs, barbecue, or McDonald's in a month.

"Matter of fact, I want some Burger King today," I said out loud. I put my Turbos and turtle brownie snacks back and grabbed my car keys off of the counter. I was already dressed, so I just slipped on some shoes and left the house.

Lock the door. Is it locked? Touch the whole door knob. Feel it. Lock it again. It doesn't look locked. Hold it for a second. Rub that side. You went in the wrong direction. It feels incomplete now. The opposite way.

"ARGHHHH!" I screamed.

No. The opposite way. No, the opposite way.

"Shut up, hoe," I said through tears. Not another breakdown. It's the breakdown for me. I fell against my front door, sitting on my welcome mat on my porch. I held my face as I cried, all of my pent up stress flowing from my burning eyes.

"Teone dear. Are you alright?" my neighbor asked, shuffling from her house to mine. She was an elderly white woman with tufts of straight hair styled in some 1940s hairstyle. "Yes, Ms. Linman." Old white bitch.

"Are you sure honey? Do you need me to drive you anywhere?" she asked kindly, patting my wet cheek softly. I'll run us off the road.

"I'm sure," I said as I helped myself up. "I'm just going to get some food real quick. Do you want anything to eat?" Lemme poison da food.

"Where are you going dear? Oh no, I wouldn't want to use your money dear." She patted my cheek again, "You need it." I wanna steal from you and watch while you beg for money on the side of the road butt naked.

"It's fine. I'm going to Burger King but I can stop by McDonald's if you need me to," I assured her, trying to ignore my ex as best as I could. "Oh it's fine," I laughed. "Well, could you get me a burger. Anything spicy, I need some action in my life." I'll fuck you.

"Okay, Ms. Linman, I'll be back in about an hour," I told her. I made my way to my car, then ran back to walk Ms. Linman safely into her house. Sometimes I don't know what I would do without my kind neighbor.

I left my house, heading for the fast food restaurant. I'm hungry, shit.

"Calm down, we finna eat Amy."
