All four of them had some free time on Wednesday and agreed that it's a good moment for Deaky to introduce them all to Amber.

Roger has already knew the girl, but Brian and Fred have never even seen her. Deaky wondered how awkward will that be to tell Amber 'hey, my friends want to look at you', but he decided that it's better for them all to meet before the party.

"Oh God, what would my mother say if she knew I'm hanging out with some old guys?" Amber  was sitting on the big armchair that was always Fred's place. Deaky took his usual sit on the wooden crate and couldn't take his eyes off of the beauty beside him.

"They aren't that old. And you've already met Roger. He's quite a nice guy, isn't he?" the boy's eyes were wide open and seemed like he forgot how to blink. Amber was looking around her at the gross basement so, luckily for Deaky, she didn't notice the staring.

"Yeah, I guess. But the other two are from uni. Sex, drugs... ew." Amber turned her light eyes to Deaky. The boy shook out of his trance, now probably more nervous than her. The boys will surely bring weed and now Amber is telling him that drugs are ew.

Fuck. Go back.

"Why am I always the one smuggling it?" Brian cried out, feeling the bag being pressed against his chest in the inner pocket of his coat.

"You look the most decent and cops would never suspect you." Roger took a drag of his cigarette, smoking it despite getting angry looks from Brian.

"Why did Fred leave?" the taller one asked again. Fred was walking with them but a few minutes ago he excused himself and turned other way, promising he'll be on time.

"I don't know, probably had to get some things done. Why are you asking so many questions?" the blond talked back. Brian narrowed his eyebrows and huffed out the air through his nose.

"What is that Amber like?" he muttered. Roger let the smoke out with a snort.

"You're nervous about meeting her?" he asked just to assure himself that he was right. Brian didn't look at him but kept staring forward. Roger laughed again, his face heating up a bit for no reason. "Calm down, it's not like you're proposing to her. It's Deaky's role."

"I know, but what if she doesn't like me? And how do I look? I've heard that first impression is important." Brian tugged at his hair a bit, but Roger slapped his hand down.

"She will love you. And you look good." Roger threw the end of cig behind him, wanting a smile to finally appear on Brian's face. And it did, although it was a rather shy smile.

"But do I really?" Brian hopped over a small puddle from rain an hour ago.

"You know, um, maybe Amber is that kind of person that cares about interior beauty more." the blond shrugged his shoulders and smirked at his own cheeky behavior. His friend pressed his lips tightly together and nodded before speaking up.

"I hope so." he mumbled. Roger rolled his eyes at those words, being annoyed at Brian, who didn't sense that Roger was just being jokingly mean.

"Oh, come on! I know you aren't that self conscious!" he stopped walking. Brian saw with the corner of his eye that the blond stopped and came a few steps back to him. They shifted to the side of the pavement.

"I don't know! When I'm with my friends I feel so confident and when it comes to meet the strangers, I can't even blink without a fear that this stranger will tell me I'm doing it wrong!" Brian managed to get it all out on one breath. Roger's eyes widened a bit at the sudden burst of emotion coming from Brian but he realised that he's noticed that aspect of Brian's personality a long time ago.
