Two boys fell back on the grass laughing loudly.

Roger and Brian got away on their bikes for the whole day to the lake which was a few kilometers away from the suburbs, where Brian lived.

London was boring in the summer, especially that week when John went on a holiday trip with his parents and Fred went to Scotland for a month to make some money.

So the two friends that were left off had to tear out of the boring reality.

Their naked chests were glistening in the sun, wet with water. Their hair were short so it dried pretty quickly but still had a wet tinge that made it messy.

"Oh God it's amazing." Roger let out a sigh mixed with a moan. But it really was amazing, the hum of the water, the sounds of birds from the forest and crickets from the high grass all around them. Of course on the other side of the lake there was a public beach where all the families with small children went, but the boys chose to go to the wild side. It seemed more private.

"I love it here." Brian closed his eyes and enjoyed the warmth of the sun on his skin. It was just perfect.

"I don't want the summer to end." Roger sigh moaned again. Brian chuckled he opened one eye and turned his head to look at Roger beside him.

"Why's that?"

"You're leaving the school!" the blond complained with a frown. Brian laughed louder, sounding so melodic that it fit right with the nature surrounding them. "We won't be seeing each other every day." Roger added a bit quieter.

"But we'll still see each other probably almost every weekend." said the brunet, closing his eyes again.

"Yeah, I guess." Roger stretched his arms up and then put it crossed under his head. His sister never let him do that because she was grossed out by his armpits hair. He enjoyed the freedom now.

"Now you mentioned it I also can't believe I'm going to a university." Brian chuckled for a millionth time during the conversation, but Roger didn't mind, he liked that sound.

"Hey, you won't forget about me, right?" Roger asked, trying to sound casual.

"Oh Rog, I'll never forget about you." answered Brian, feeling warm not only on his skin but also inside.

"Good."

Brian's cheeks heated up.

"Hi, Deaky?" Roger desperately put the phone to his hear. There were some noises on the other side and finally John spoke up.

"What do you want?" the younger groaned, clearly annoyed.

"Can you hang out with me today?" Roger asked in a pleading tone.

"Geez Rog, I can't. There are two big exams tomorrow and I really, really need to study. My mum will kill me if I get another bad grade." John on the other end of the line was sending nervous looks towards his copy books, wondering how genius his class was to agree to have physics and biology tests on the same day.

"Deaks, it's Sunday. Besides, you're fifteen, you don't have to worry about your parents telling you how great you have to be at school, it's not their-"

"Look, I don't have time for this, sorry." said Deaky and put down the phone. The line went dead.

The blond sighed and slopped down on the bed, letting receiver dangle off  the bedside table on the cord. It was great that he had his own phone in his room, his sister was always jealous. He fished a single, a bit squished, cig out of his pocket and lit it up with an almost dead lighter.
