The boys' Saturday meetings were usually great.

After the whole week of school when they didn't have a chance to meet together, it felt amazing for four of them to talk and a have a laugh.

But that exact time everything went downhill.

Deaky appeared at their place on time with two packs of crisps just to wait another half an hour for his friends to show up. He waited on the ground floor of the house. It was too sunny outside to go to the basement.

Finally two familiar faces came into sight, making John even more annoyed.

"Where the fuck is Brian?" Deaky greeted them in a harsh tone.

"I don't think he's coming today..." Fred scoffed with a laugh. They both looked at Roger who was standing beside Fred with his head hanging low.

The blond was angry, ashamed and sad. What happened on Friday should have never ever taken place.

"For God's sake! You better make things out before the party!" Deaky pointed at Roger. The blond nodded sheepishly.

"Oh right, the party. How's thing going on with your girl? I forgot the name but-"

"Fred, it's Amber." Deaky smiled, his nerves calimg down which Roger was thankful for. He didn't need another friend to be mad at him. "I think it's great actually. I invited her to be my date for the party. Also then I found out she was looking for someone who would teach her how to play the guitar and I volunteered. I'm going to her house tomorrow for the first lesson." the boy smirked.

Fred was genuinely shocked, the happy kind of shocked. He walked up the damaged materace that was there since forever and flopped down on it, still grinning like idiot.

"Deaks! Oh my God!" he screeched.

"I know! It's going fast but I love it!" Deaky was so excited it almost made Roger smile.

"Hey, but nothing dirty, I don't want you to ruin it." Fred warned him with a finger gesture.

"No, of course not. I really like her and really wasn't this to work out."

The two kept talking but Roger got distracted while looking at the street through the hole in the wall that was supposed to be a window. He caught a glimpse of a familiar tall lanky boy walking towards the house with his coat's collar up high.

Roger's heart skipped a bit. He was so anxious about facing Brian after yesterday's events. For the whole night he kept making up scenarios of walking up to Brian and apologising but it was much harder in reality. Roger sighed quietly not to attract his friends' attention and just prayed he won't cry.

Brian came into the ruin, passed Roger, who was standing right next to the entrance, by and jumped onto the materace, surprising other guys. They all collapsed in laughter meanwhile Roger watched it all from the corner of his eye. A string of pain struck in his heart.

Fred and Deaky started complimenting Brian's new hairstyle and Roger didn't know what to feel. It was great that people liked his work but it was also tearing him apart that Brian haven't mentioned his name even once. Even tho the boys knew it was Roger's work, it still hurt.

All three of them were sitting there, eating crisps and laughing behind the blond's back. Somewhere in the depth of his mind he knew he deserved to be treated that way by Brian but it still hurt as hell.

"Fred told me you won't come today." Deaky spoke up, brining up the topic that wasn't leaving his thoughts. "I'm just curious, why was that? And what happened that you came at last?"
