Stupid For You - Waterparks

Once Judd received a report from one of his raccoons, I was preparing myself to get carried out the window by the army of raccoons.
"They'll carry you outside and then all you have to do is ring the bell and fucking pretend like you just arrived."
"The bags?"
"Just make shit up like 'Judd was outside and he helped me carry my things to his room.' "
I nodded and gave into the raccoons as they carried me all the way down from the window.

After the surprise by the Birch family, me and Leah couldn't stop conversing. We were catching up and making up for lost time. We stayed connected throughout those 8 years, but of course it was different. We had things and businesses of our own so we never properly talked. I missed her terribly and she did with me too.
Leah had flourished into this beautiful young woman and she was like this ray of sunshine. Despite all those years being separated, me and Leah could still talk like I had never left. But of course we talk about different things now that we'd grown.
It felt great to be back. I could feel all the childhood memories flooding in. Me and Leah's sleepovers. Going to the pizza parlour. Judd scaring the shit out of me and Leah whenever we would hang out. Judd. Shit! I'm thinking about him again.
I couldn't believe that I was in his room. When I was younger, he hardly let anyone inside. And then 8 years later, I returned to the house to find him living in the vents and training a bunch of raccoons.
During dinner, Leah and I sat next to each other. Judd was right in front of me and Nick was in front of Leah. Nick had grown. I mean we had all grown.
"Alright, kids. Now that Y/N lives with us, we expect all of you to treat her like family. We always have, but she lives with us now," Mrs. Birch began. "And Y/N, we expect you to consider this your own home. You can also call me and Diane by our names," Mr. Birch continued, or should I say Elliot.
"Diane, Elliot, I can't thank you enough for letting me in your home. I know it's a lot to ask b-"
"Oh honey, no. It's perfectly fine," Diane assured me with her calm and soothing voice.
"Your mom (or any parental guardian) has helped us a lot back in the days. So this is the least we can do," Elliot added.
I shot a shy grin at both of them, knowing that I'd be a handful to the family.
"So how do you like your room, Y/N?" Elliot questioned.
"It's perfect. I've never had a bathroom inside my room before, so that's really something." I let out a chuckle.
I was beyond grateful for the Birch family. They were the most hospitable people I have ever met...except maybe Judd. But I knew Judd just preferred to be alone. Speaking of Judd, I was hardly trying to avert my eyes from him. Do you know that feeling when you just have your eyes on that one person so you can't really stop looking at them? It was weird and magnetic. I didn't even know this guy, or perhaps the newer version of this guy. HECK HE WASN'T EVEN THAT ATTRACTIVE! But maybe I just didn't want to admit that.
Leah must have noticed because her foot nudged mine and she smirked at me. I raised an eyebrow and mouthed a "what". As she turned to look at me, she gave side eyes pointing to Judd. Then she playfully and cheekily raised both eyebrows. I flawlessly failed to deny. I defensively mouthed "no" to her and shook my head, but she caught me smiling to myself and smirked once again.
Judd's POV
She was looking at me every now and then. I don't think she realized but I knew she was. I have eyes all over me, even on my dick.
Not gonna lie, Leah's childhood best friend turned...hot.
Fuck it though. She's my sister's best friend. That shit's kinda weird.
She wouldn't stop. Her eyes just kept darting back to me. I saw Leah side-eyeing her to me. She shook her head. Of course. I probably scare her even though she called me a fucking dick today; she's scared on the inside.
After dinner, she knocked on my door. She stood right in front of me with this contagious smile. Hard to admit, but I was smiling internally. Having her back around was like having another sister around, but she shouldn't be too bad. As long as she doesn't come to me all the fucking time or fuck around while I'm writing my manifesto, she should be fine. Nobody fucks with me while I'm writing my manifesto.
"Uh...thanks for helping me out with my things today," she said with a sheepish grin. "Tell your raccoons that I think they're cool."
So she doesn't find it weird that I train raccoons.
"Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Bye." She awkwardly stepped back.
She walked all the way down the hall to her room.
Y/N's POV
"Connie! We need to stop finding reasons to talk to him!" I growled in frustration.
"Sugar! It's not just reasons to talk to him! It's reasons to look at him and bask in his presence and listen to that voooiice. THAT VOICE!"
"But he didn't say anything back! He probably thinks I'm annoying."
"Oh. So now you care about what he thinks? I thought we agreed to never care about what a fucking guy thinks of you anymore."
My cheeks warmed up.
"It's not- it's not like that! We live in the same house now so if he doesn't like me there would be this great tension!"
"Sexual tension," Connie whispered.
