Devil Town - Cavetown

I swing my axe for the millionth time. My arms are growing weak and a light layer of sweat begin to form on my forehead. I look over to Tommy who's doing the same thing, with a look of concentration on his face.

"Can we be done yet?" I ask.

He sighs and looks to me, "After we have enough wood for the nether." I roll my eyes at his blunt expression and swing my axe to the oak tree, finally hitting it down.

"Bye Lia!" I wave to Tommy as my surroundings change to a red, firy hell. I step from the obsidian portal and start my walk on the really stupid and dangerous path Tommy made.

Since I have nothing else to do today, and Tommy just wanted to catch up on sleep, I decided to use my day this week to go to L'manberg. Hopefully, I run into Dream so I can tell him I'm using my day today.

I hum as I jump from a platform and onto the real ground, wiping off ash and dirt once I'm up straight. I see the main portal in the distance and start towards it. It's not like I'm in exile, but I need to be with Tommy. So, I guess I am? I don't know, but even the idea of going back to L'manberg makes me excited. I stop right outside the portal and smile at the familiar sound of talking and music from the other side. I take a deep breath, and step in.

As I step onto the land of the Dream SMP, I immediately run into someone. I look up and see Dream. I furrow my eyebrows as he helps me stand up straight.

"Hi Dream, I wanted to use my day in L'manberg today! Tommy is sleeping and I have nothing better to do." He looks around before pulling me towards the gate to the Community House.

"Look, people have started to turn against you. Just as they are with Tommy." I feel my chest ache from that.

"W-what?" I ask in a small voice.

"I've heard whispers, rumors even, and a lot of people are making fun of you guys. They're saying it runs in the family..."

"Family?" I ask.

He looks at me for a second before answering, "Phil, the father of...mistakes." He mumbles the last part and I feel my eyes water. "Techno, who set withers everywhere and is obsessed with destroying government, Wilbur, who blew up L'manberg because he was power thirsty, and Tommy. Who, well, got exiled." I let out a shaky breath and nod.

"So...so, people are getting mad or something?" My voice cracks as I speak.

"They think Tommy doesn't deserve anyone or anything. And that your insane to leave everyone for one person. Look, people are turning against you two because of me. They realized I've been spending a lot of time with you guys and since almost everyone hates me, they hate you too."

"Bu-but you changed. Right?" I look into his black dotted eyes that he can somehow see through. I feel a tear leak down my face and Dream hugs me. I stand on my tiptoes to hug him properly and bury my face in his shoulder as tears come down my face.

"I was never the bad guy Lia...people would have turned against Tommy at some point. I didn't want him to have to live somewhere where everyone hates him." Dream whispers to me. "How about we go back to my...uh, the Community House." I pull back and look at him weird when he stuttered for his house but nod anyways.

"Yeah. Ok." We climb up the stairs and sit on the roof together. After a couple minutes in silence, I look to Dream. "What about Tubbo? He wouldn't hate us right?"

"I-..." he sighs and puts his mask on the side of his face, something I've noticed he only does with me and Tommy. "Yeah. Yeah he does." He glances to me and I look back ahead towards Tommy's house.

"Oh." I say quietly.

"But don't be sad," he says quickly, "you and Tommy always have me, right?" I nod so he continues, "I'm your friend." He mumbles.

"Yeah. Yeah, I suppose you are." I say thoughtfully as the sun begins to set. "Is there anyone who doesn't hate Tommy and I?"

"Well, I believe Ranboo...Ghostbur, Phil, and Techno, obviously...Niki? I don't think she knows yet." I hum in approval.

"What about Purpled?"

"I don't know, Lia." He tells me.

"Oh, ok. Sorry." He sighs.

"I'm your friend. You don't need to apologize for asking questions. Your friend." I chuckle at the amount of times he's told me that today.

"Of course, my friend."

What I didn't know is that just in the distance, my old friends, Tubbo, Fundy, Quackity, George, Sapnap, Ranboo, and even Purpled were watching us with sadness etched upon their faces.
