This December - Ricky Montgomery

"Wakey wakey." The covers get thrown off my cold body. I pull myself into a ball and open my eyes slightly to see Dream folding a blanket. He's wearing jeans and his green hoodie with his strap across his body. His fingerless gloves move his mask a bit to the side of his head to reveal his green eyes and freckles.

"What?" My raspy voice asks.

"We're going around to ask people if they've seen Tommy." I groan.

"He's dead Dream." I mumble drowsily.

He sighs, "Whatever. Just get up." I pull myself out of bed once the door closes leaving me alone. I stumble to my closet and grab a black long sleeve crop top and plaid pants. I put it on and style the pants with a black belt. I pull on my strap and bow before fixing my crown on my head and doing my makeup. I put on black ankle high boots and grab extra arrows before exiting my room.

"'Bout time." Dream complains.

"If I'm going to be asking people about my dead brother I want to look good doing it." I shrug. He rolls his eyes and stands up.

"Techno won't have him." I shake my head.

"We've asked everyone but him." He continues to walk through the snow.

"And everyone has said that Tommy is dead." I mumble.

He looks to me, "Fine. If you think Tommy, who you've known your whole life and has been your best friend since birth would kill himself for a single inconvenience, then go back home. But I know for a fact that Tommy, the power hungry, ego loving, non giving up 16 year old wouldn't. You should to." I stand still for a second before jogging back to Dream who already started to walk away.

"Ok, fine. All I'm saying is that I doubt Techno even knows Tommy left Logstedshire."

"They live the closest. He could have seen him walking by the house." I sigh and nod.

"Ok Dream."

"We're doing this to get him back so he's safe, Lia." I nod again and we stop outside of the woods. Technos house is right in front of us. I glance to him before walking up first.

"So, just... ask him, then look around?" I check with Dream. He nods and knocks on the door. After a few seconds of no noise except for the light taps on snow on the roof above us or our breathing, the sound of footsteps near the door. Techno opens it with a straight face.

"Yes?" He asks in a monotone voice.

"Can we come in?" Dream asks.

"Uh, of course Dream." He glances to me before opening the door wide enough for us to walk past him. "Why do I get the honor of the ruler of Dream SMP and his minion trailing behind to come to my house." I glare dangerously to him as Dream talks.

"We just wanted to check if you've seen Tommy lately."

"My brother Tommy? pfft, no, he's living in Logstedshire. Haven't seen him for quite some time, not since i totally destroyed that country." He sucks at lying. I glance to Dream and walk around.

"Hm. Ok, well can we look around? I don't think I've ever been here before." Dream asks slyly. Techno hesitates.

"What? Why can't you give us a tour of your wonderful house?" I ask him with a smirk.

"I never said that." He snaps at me. "This is my downstairs as you can see. Uh, chests and such... I'm working on healing zombie villagers so I can get good trades."

"Hm. What's up there?" He points up the ladder and Techno climbs up it. I raise my eyebrows to Dream and go up it. Technos standing by the box counter and gestures for us to look around. Since I've been here before, I let Dream take a look while looking at Techno.

"How's L'manberg? The SMP?" He asks me.

"Oh, amazing. I must admit, it's looking very much better then it did before Tommy got exiled." I tell him as I play with my arrows.

"Uh huh, and how's Ranboo? Have you had lunch with him lately?" I look up to him again, confusion written across my face.

"Yes?" He smirks.

"Oh that's wonderful. You know, I heard a rumor, that you got in a fight?" I roll my eyes and look back to the arrow in my hands.

"Can I go up there?" Dream points to the ladder going upstairs.

"Sure but it's just my bed and enchanting table." Techno shrugs. Dream goes up anyways, leaving me and my brother.

"What was the fight about? Is that from it?" He points to my visible scars on my neck and stomach.

"It's none of your business." I roll my eyes to him.

"Since when? Cant I have a nice conversation with my dear younger sister?"

I scoff, "It was with Quackity, not a big deal. And no, that scar isn't from him, it's from when some rando jumped me in the woods back in Logstedshire and when Tommy told me to leave." I say as I point to my scar on my stomach.

He stays quiet for a second, "What was it over?"

"Why do you want to know?" I ask rudely.

"I'm interested. Who won?"

"No one won. It got broken up. He was just being an ass about L'manberg. Saying that no one wants me there." I shrug carelessly. I see the box slightly open but I ignore it.

"Ah. Well no one does want you there." He says.

"Ooh." A voice from downstairs says. I raise an eyebrow and climb down the ladder to see Dream looking at a hole in the floor with another ladder. I don't remember that being there.

"Oh, uh." I climb down the second ladder before Techno can oppose and look around. There's a list of things to do on the wall along with a cow.

"What's this?" I ask my older brother.

"My to-do list." I raise my eyebrows and look to Dream who's pursing his lips.

"Build a girlfriend?" He reads. I furrow my eyebrows.

"Hey, don't question my motives." He says.

"Build an intimidation tower? Like the giant cobblestone half built one outside?" I ask.

"They can be intimidating." He crosses his arms.

"Get theropay? Spelling classes?" Dream looks to Techno after he reads.

"What? I need them."

"Your an English major." I point out.

"I dropped out of college." He says.

"Right, well uh..." I nod to the ladder while looking at Dream, gesturing I want to leave.

"Ok, well thanks for letting us look around. If you see Tommy just get one of us, we just want to make sure he's safe." I nod to Dream and start to climb up the ladder.

"Have fun in hell!" Techno shouts.

"No, Techno, we're leaving, not staying." I correct as I walk out the door.
