The Finale. for now

I shake my head at myself and look to the still dark sky as it's almost 6am. I cant believe this is really happening. Ranboo squeezes my hand when he notices tears welling in my eyes and pulls me down to the end of the Prime Path next to Eret. We look up the path towards Punz's house where Bad is standing, and see Tommy and Tubbo decked out in enchanted netherite armor talking to Bad.

"I gotta go up there but it's ok. Love you. Be right back." Ranboo smiles reassuringly before sneaking up to the spot after Bad. Eret hugs me and rests his chin on my head.

"This sucks." I whisper to him. He chuckles.

"It does, doesn't it." His deep voice replies. I look up the path again and watch as Tommy talks to a few people briefly before moving down again, now on Captain Puffy, then Niki, then Ponk, barely glancing at Callahan. I roll my eyes through tears and look at Jack who stands across from me and Eret. While Tubbo talks to Sam, Quackity runs from wherever he was up the path, probably from waking up late. After seeing the line done and talking to everyone, Tubbo and Tommy turn to the path and smile sadly.

"Thank you everybody." I hear faintly while Puffy throws golden apples to them from her bag. I look back to Eret.

"Why the fuck did you guys choose so far down the path?" I ask. They laugh and Tommy laughs at Jack and us.

"Of course you guys are at the end of the path." Tubbo and him laugh. They utter a simple 'bye' to Jack who returns it before looking to Eret.

"Eret, you have caused so many problems." Tommy begins making him laugh. They start talking and shit and I look to the grass under my feet. Fuck. This can't actually be happening. Without realizing it, they finished talking to Eret and looked to me. I get thrown into a group hug by the two and immediately hug them back as tears stream down my cheeks.

"I love you so so much. We'll be back soon, ok?" Tommy whispers to me.

Tubbo nods, "Thanks for always being by our side, one way or another." I nod into their shoulders and break free.

"It's ok, everything's going to be ok." I say, mostly to myself, "Just fucking beat that green bastard for me. Fucking dig a hole make him put his shit inside and blow it up. Fucking karma." I gesture with my hands to the ground while I talk, tears leaking from my eyes as I explain.

"We will." Tommy smiles.

"Love you." Tubbo smiles thinly while previous tears on their faces come back.

"I love you guys too." I reply before hugging one last time.

"So... February's coming up." I say awkwardly as I hop over netherrack. The silence is killing me.

"It is. You gonna get a valentine?" Quackity responds, wriggling his eyebrows. I make a disgusted face at him.

"No. I'm just saying." I look around at the big group and sigh again, "You know, when Punz said we'd be going to Dream's secret lair or whatever I thought there would be conversation."

"I don't know, Lia. Walking through a really really hot hell kinda sucks and I don't want to talk. Especially since we may or may not be going to save two children from a manipulative piece of shit who used to be our friend." Sapnap sassily replies. I frown.

"Fine Sappy Nappy." I mumble. He looks at me.

"Where the fuck-"

"We're here!" Punz announces, cutting him off. I smile softly to Sapnap and feel my nerves picking up while we stare at the purple portal in-front of us. Sapnap sighs and hugs me. We kind of are in a similar situation if you think about it.
