After some much needed calming talks, Ranboo and i made our way through the forest for a much needed de-stress walk.
After a moments of silence, I look to the tall teen next to me. He's watching his feet move in front of him with a half smile on his face. His hair is now messy from his shaking and my hugs, so it hangs over his eyes lazily even though he tries to push it away every few minutes. Ranboo's blazer is long gone and he is now just wearing his white undershirt, slightly unbuttoned from the heat, with his black jeans. My crown is still on his head but he replaced the missing space on my head with a daisy behind my ear.
"Have you ever gotten out of the enderwalk from anyone, or anything else?" I ask, kicking a pebble from the short grass.
"No." He answers plainly. "No clue why I got out of it from you. Maybe it was just your terrified face." He shrugs, laughing a forced laugh at the end.
"Oh." I mumble, looking up from the grey rock and to the oak trees. I notice a clearing ahead of us and sigh in relief, glad to finally be out of the dark forest. Grabbing Ranboo's hand, I pull him to where long grass lays below the blue sky.
"Oh my god." I say breathily when I notice the familiar mountain, a broken door placed in the dirt.
"What-" he cuts himself off and follows my gaze to the door as I begin to pull him to it slowly. No words are passed as I walk us to the side of the mountain, a million thoughts rushing to my head. We pass back through the destroyed trees a bit to get to the dirt wall.
Looking back to the forest, I furrow my eyebrows, not noticing how long we had been walking, or how deep the forest is for that matter.
Ranboo and I stay silent as I creak open the door, walking into the small dirt room, smiling slightly when I see old notebooks and coats left. My eyes wander to the mass amount of buttons beginning on the floor and trailing down the stairs. Taking a shaky breath, I start walking down the stone stairs, following the different colored buttons. Back then I didn't know Wilbur was going insane. Tommy did, but it was also too late when he noticed how insane he was going. I should have done something. Stopped Wilbur. Stood up to Schlatt. Talked Quackity out of it. I shouldn't have participated in Pogtopia or Manburg.
When we reach the end of the stairs, Ranboo squeezes my hand. I didn't notice I was still holding it. I don't want to let go. Not yet.
The ravine is filled with buttons, all different colors and some different shapes. Bridges are built over the deep cave and some ladders are led down. A ghost of a smile is shown on my face when I look to a dirty mirror on the wall. This place is shitty, it is where most of the trauma started for me, for everyone. But we all got great memories out of it. Some of which we will never be able to relive. Im not sure if I want to, but we won't so why bother think about it.
The dim lighting is shadowing on the flooring and before I can inspect my memories, Ranboo tugs on my arm lightly.
"Let's get out of here." His voice is soft and pitiful. Nodding, I follow him back to the surface and out of the broken door.
"That place looks shitty." I whisper after we walk back to the flowery grassy field. He laughs and shakes his head.
"It does. It looks terrible." He agrees, a smile evident in his words. A smile starts to grow on my face and look at my feet, suddenly glad I wore my high tops, as if I'd wear anything else.
"Sit?" I ask, looking up at Ranboo. He nods and we both sit on the ground in a area where the grass is slightly shorter than around it. We sit cross-legged and silently agree we would both rather not talk.
We just sit quietly, him playing with the rings on my hands and me touching the flowers and grass next to us. Ranboo takes his hands away from mine making me look up, only to watch him start to pick flowers. A toothy smile makes my way to my face all while Ranboo hums a song, picking flowers from around us.
Third Person POV:
After deciding he has enough, Ranboo places them on the ground next to him while he begins to string grass together, glancing to the multicolored flowers to see how big the foundation needs to be.
Lia picks her own bundle of flowers and picks the flowers, a thoughtless mind picking the plants in her hands.
After a couple minutes, Ranboo smiles at his accomplishment and looks back up to Lia only to see her humming the tune Ranboo just stopped humming while she fidgeted with grass and flowers around her, taking off the occasional petal. Ranboo slumps back slightly and smiles to the girl in front of him. He doesn't know why or what he feels towards her, but it's something. It could just be the fact that she's a girl, or his best friend. But that shouldn't be different than the feelings towards Niki or Tubbo. For some reason it still is.
Stopping midway through her humming, Lia looks up, confused as to why Ranboo stopped humming as well, only to meet the purple and green eyes staring at her, a smile playing on Ranboo's lips. Both teens' eyes widen and they quickly look away, both feeling red dust spread on their faces.
"I-I made this." Ranboo stutters, holding up the multicolored flower crown. It's bigger than the usual thin flower crowns he's made her with the bigger bundle of them and the different colored plants wrapped up.
The blush on Lia's cheeks grow. She doesn't know why, Ranboo always makes her things, especially flower crowns. It's not abnormal, so why does she feel happy and shy about it now? She shrugs it off and inches closer so the boy can place it on her brunette locks.
"Thank you." She says giddily as he rests is on her head.
"Of course." He responds a bit confused why she's acting so thankful now.
"You know, Ariadne got a crown from her husband. Kind of like a ring, of course she got that too." Lia blurts after laying on her back. Ranboo moves to her side before laying down next to her, a smirk making its way to his face.
"Yeah?" He asks in a teasing tone. Lia's cheeks get redder by the second so he continues, "I thought you didn't know who she was just last month?" He ponders.
Lia gets even redder and covers her face with her hands, "Techno and Dream were calling me it so I did some research." She whispers making Ranboo laugh.
"Interesting. Now who was she?" He asks, looking at Lia.
Lia finally takes her hands off her face to look at Ranboo, both now having smirks on their faces.
"A fucking goddess by marriage, bitch."
