Like what was said in the past chapters, Ria's worst year is undeniably 2018, not only because she was put on hiatus but also because of a heartbreak she didn't knew was coming.

To tell you, Ria was put on hiatus on February 20 of the same year because of this reason; So, dispatch actually caught Ria having a date with a non-showbiz boyfriend and Dispatch brought that to SM's.

At first, SM didn't actually believe Dispatch but when they talked to Ria about it, she told them the truth. SM is really disappointed at Ria not for dating, but for hiding it to them and not telling them sooner. And they knew the hate that Jennie and Kai received, they cannot risk it with Ria and the NCT since this year will be the year they will promote NCT 2018.

So, they put Ria on hiatus and Dispatch didn't get a chance to reveal them since what's the use of revealing Ria's relationship if she's now promoting, right? But when SM put Ria on hiatus, they did not told her why and just told her to stay away from the boys for now.

She was devastated, she wasn't even allowed on their dorms. She stayed in the apartment with Areum [her manager] with her.

When the non-showbiz boyfriend knew about this, he quickly went to Ria to comfort her. It actually helped since Ria temporarily forgot about it.

~Mini Flashback~

September 2018

"Yohan?" Ria asked as they are both cuddling on her room, Yohan, yes the Kim Yohan, hummed in reply. "When do you think I will comeback?" Ria asked sadly. "Oh baby, I don't know." Yohan replied. "But if I reveal us, would you be okay with it?" Ria asked again, looking Yohan straight in the eyes.

With his eyes shaking, he hesitately answered, "Of course, princess." Of course, Ria is too caught at the moment and didn't notice it. But in reality, he actually didn't know if they will still last since he got accepted in this small company, OUI Entertainment.

Yohan told himself that after Ria's birthday, then he will say it to her.

October 11, 2018

Ria's is now celebrating her birthday with Areum and Yohan at the apartment since Stray Kids' is busy with their comebacks and promotions.

"Happy Birthday, Princess." Yohan greeted her and kissed her forehead. "I'll leave you two kids alone. NCT needs me, no funny business okay?" Areum warned the two as they nodded in response.

Ria hugged Yohan tightly, "I love you." She told him, while on the other hand, Yohan is feeling guilty for not telling her that he'll start a formal idol training in less than 2 months. "I love you too, please always remember that." Yohan said whispering.

He wasn't able to tell her about his contract.

Few days after, Ria and Yohan started to drift apart. Yohan started ignoring her calls, texts, and messages. As in no anything after her birthday.

Yohan felt horrible doing that to Ria. He truly love and adore the younger but it's also his dream to become an idol. And that the only way he thought people will accept him as her boyfriend.

So he bring himself to the apartment to end things with her, "Yohan.." Ria said as she saw him at her doorstep and quickly hug him, crying on his chest.

"I was worried about you."  She mumbled, "I'm fine." He tried to surpass his tears and pull Ria off him. "I'm sorry, but let's end this." Yohan painfully said, not even looking on Ria's eyes.

"What? Why?" Those words spilled on her mouth almost unheardable. "I'm sorry," He hugged her tightly for the last time. "Let's meet again, I promise. After a year, then let's get back together, okay?" Yohan said, cupping her cheeks, placing a soft kiss on her lips.

"I-I can't promise you that." Ria said, knowing herself that she doesn't do that kind of relationship. [Breaking up and getting back togethet kind]

Yohan looked at her sadly as they pull of the hug. "I'll forever love you, please remember that." Yohan said looking at her dearly, while Ria nodded. "I guess it's time to say goodbye." Yohan let out a wholeheartedly laugh. "Goodbye, Yohan." Ria said, "Goodbye, love." Yohan replied kissing her head for the last time.

~End of Flashback~

After a month, the news of Ria and Yohan breaking up went to SM and the company called her back telling her that she can practice on the secret practice room that she and Irene used to train in since trainees always come to them just to admire their visuals and talent.

Some members catch a glimpse of her going into the practice room and when they tried to go there they were stopped by a security guard who is assigned there and specifically was told to not let any NCT members inside or even near it.

The members thought that it was a new girl group or a new trainee that's why the company was so protective to that practice room.

And once they learned about Ria was in a relationship and got her heartbroken, they were more than pissed and Mark, literally Mark, said that "Once I saw him, I'll punch him. No second guessing." Also Chan and Felix, they were more ready to throw fists.

Up until now, Yohan still loves her. That's why when Ria talked to him when she was preparing with X1 for their debut, he felt like his world collapses.

"I'm back." Yohan said, smiling at the younger. "So, shall we continue our unfinished story?" Yohan offered, Ria looked at him sadly. By this, he already knew the answer. He lost her.

"I'm sorry, I really am but our story ended on that day." She said, trying not look onto his eyes. "I'll just go away if you look me in the eye and tell me that you don't love me anymore." Yohan said, cupping her cheeks making her look at him.

"I-I don't love you anymore." Ria said. She is sure of that, but she really doesn't want to hurt him. "I'm really sorry, Yohan." Ria said, slowly pushing his hands off her cheeks. "It's okay. But please remember that I never stopped loving you." Yohan told the younger. "Please find someone else." Ria said as Seungwoo shouted for her.

"I guess I see when I see you." Ria said, making the two of them chuckle. Once Ria got in the room, "I'm so fucking stupid!" Yohan said and punched the wall beside him. "I never should have let her go in the first place." He mumbled. He knew he can't do anything now, especially now that she's happy with Haechan and Haechan is making moves on her.

She is also the reason why he kinda forced his company to take the 'A Love So Beautiful' role because Ria already accepted it and it is the only way he can regain a frienship with her.

On the other hand, once Yohan accepted the role, Haechan and Ria talked about it calmly. The girl assured him that anything associated with Yohan will purely be business.

But Haechan is actually okay with her being friends with Yohan if she wants too, because he trust her so much and he knew she will not go back to him after he rejected him and cut ties with last 2019.

She purely told him that if it wasn't for X1 she'll be ignoring Yohan. That's why he is so calm about it and Ria love him more because of that.
