Merry Life Day: Together

"Did you slap me?" Everyone stared at him as the alarm ended, and there was a heartbeat. 

"Lux?" I rushed over to him my face plastered with a tear as more and more came dripping down like a flood. 

"Did you slap me?" He asked again his voice raw and his eyes barely open. 

"Yes," I laughed with relief with happiness as more tears streamed down hitting him in the face. 

"Why are you crying?" he was still not completely back yet but he reached his hand up to me as his eyes remained slightly squinted. 

"Because I love you," I whispered as I implanted a kiss on his forehead as more of my tears fluttered down onto his forehead. 

"I love you too 'Soka, and we will do everything together, just like we said," he struggled to move up but he managed to kiss me on the lips. 

"It's Life Day, and you lived," I spoke out loud to myself as I sat by his side in the small bed. 

"We can't leave each other just yet," He smiled as he held my hand close to his heart. 

"Together?" I asked with no context hoping he would understand as I tried and let my emotions calm down. 

"Together," He confirmed as it became us, it would for the rest of our lives were we would always live it out together.
