After we had gone skating and we had I don't know, our moment, but afterward, we went out for dinner, and caught up on everything, in fact, we kinda talked about the dreaded topic; Steela. We were fine again just too good friends who loved to have a good laugh together, two supporting friends, and we learned a lot about each other, in fact, I knew what I was going to get him for Life Day.
I knew that he had another activity planned for that day, so I decided to get up early to pick out his present, and well you are going to have to wait and see what it is but I knew it was something he would absolutely love!
"Ok, so I don't know if you know this but a huge part of Life Day is getting a tree," He informed me as we walked down the what was becoming familiar shop side,
"Yes, I knew that," I pointed out knowing that sometimes we get a tree in the temple.
"Good, because that is what we are doing today!" He exclaimed as he walked with a bolt of energy.
"Oh yeah that's right you don't have one in your apartment," I noticed back to his apartment that kinda lacked holiday spirit.
"Sometimes I don't get to decorate till I little while because I have a lot of Senate works working up to the Senator meeting that always comes around this time, and sometimes it's just kinda not the same because it's just me," He shrugged sadly, and he was right it was just him, he was lonely, and I had never thought of that.
"Hey well this Life Day you won't be lonely," I elbowed his side playfully as a wide smile gleamed across his face. "How big of a tree are we going?" I wondered curiously as we walked into the farm.
"Hmm, I don't know actually how about you pick it this year," he suggested with a smile as he attractively brushed his hair back
"We can choose it together," I grinned before I grasped onto his hand to pull him farther down the aisle of trees.
"This one?" He spun around as he gazed upon a tree that wouldn't do for it wouldn't hole up very well.
"Mhmm no," I told him as I didn't let go of his arm, I kept it steady in my grasp. I began to run farther and farther when I got an idea. I let go of his arm and ran as fast as I could to hide in a random tree.
"'Soka!?" he called out my nickname desperately thinking that he had lost me. "'Soka where did you go?" He continued to call out and I could hear an overwhelming sense of fear in his voice. When he began to walk down the aisle I was hiding in I waited for the perfect moment.
"Boo!" I jumped out of the tree and toppled him sending us to the floor like what happened at the ice rink.
"You scared me," He almost struggled to laugh even though he thought it was hilarious. "Good one," he managed to chuckle once he regained his heartbeat.
"Um Excuse me?" A stranger's voice came up behind us.
"Yes?" I wondered curiously nervous for what she would say as I turned my head to face her.
"May I do a small photoshoot of you two please?" She requested nervously as she held an expensive camera in her hand.
This time of year was the time for giving so the least we could do was give her this gift that she wanted.
"Sure," Lux and I smiled with a nod in unison. We got up and the Women instructed how this would work and poses to do. She even had props like festive hats, necklaces, and hand items. I have to say I would have never in my life done this but this was fun, to say the least. Good unexpected fun.
When she was done she showed us the pictures and my favorites had to be the one where we were both laughing and looked completely natural like our friendship, and the one where we were wrapped in tinsel. We thanked her before she gave us printed copies of each picture. This photoshoot thing even helped us find the perfect tree seeming that she used the one I hid in in a lot of the pictures.
"How are we going to get this back to the apartment?" I questioned realizing I hadn't thought about that earlier.
"Oh, um, I completely forgot about that, do you think we could carry it?" He wondered as he looked embarrassed at the fact that he hadn't thought ver how they would bring the tree back.
"Alright, I think we can on the count of three," I instructed him as I readied my hands on one end of the tree. "One, two," I began before I put all my strength into my end of the tree. "three," We grunted with heavy lifting.
