"I think today went great!" I exclaimed as I slip down into the blanket on the floor.
"Me too, thank you so much for helping me!" I could hear that Lux was smiling as he laid still in bed.
"I can't believe I didn't know that people do a ton of stuff for Life Day," I informed him as I thought back to seeing people shopping, hanging lights, carrying trees, drinking hot chocolate, and baking.
"Are you enjoying these new experiences because I think I have an idea," He suggested out into the air waiting for me to catch what he threw.
"Of course, that sounds like fun," I gleamed a smile as I caught it, and my duty of just being his bodyguard wanting to fade away from this was all forgotten. "Good night," I called up to him with a loud yawn before I placed my head on the floor, before squirming around to find somewhat of a comfortable spot. Lux still hadn't turned the light off but he wasn't saying anything.
"Come here," I finally heard his accent emerge from the bed.
"What?!" I called out confused as I rolled on my side.
"I'm sorry but I can't this, I won't let you get no sleep on the floor," he began to explain the context as I sat up. "So come here," He directed with a friendly tone as he scooted over in the bed to leave way more than enough room. I stood up slowly to look at his face and I could tell he was being serious.
"Lux, I can't accept your offer, I'm fine down here I really am," I tried desperately to talk him out of it even though I did long to sleep comfortably.
"No please, the floor very uncomfortable and I want you to be well-rested especially for tomorrow and you won't let me take your place on the floor so come here," Lux's kind grey eyes gazed directly into mine and he was making it harder to resist.
"Fine," I uncrossed my arms in a pretend huff before I picked up the blanket and pillow that lay on the ground. I tossed them onto the side of the bed that Lux laid far away from. "Gee your bed is really soft," I admired as I sat down on it considering that we sis have the softest beds in the temple, well, and considering that I slept on a mat. He gave me a tired smile before he leaned over and turned off the light. Lux has always been respectful to others, so respectful in the fact that he faced away from me to make me more comfortable. I slipped down into the blanket as the pillow molded the shape of montrals. This was better, this was comfortable.
"Goodnight 'Soka," He called sweetly from the other side, as our backs faced each other.
"Goodnight Lux," I breathed softly before I let myself drift away before I let my eyes relax.
