Stars

She was gazing upwards,
Under the influence of a starry night.
Just admiring,
Anything and everything in her sight.

Those shiny little dots,
Amazes her yet scares her.
Miles and miles of empty space,
That a human brain can hardly decipher.

The song on her earphones,
Finally comes to an end.
Yet she couldn’t care less,
As there are a lot of things left to comprehend.

Maybe it’s the endless universe,
Or maybe, the void in her heart.
There must be something behind her swollen eyes,
Something, exceedingly scarred.

The moment seems to never end,
And so does the night.
But there is something about the unspoken stars,
Something comforting, about the sight.

The cold night turns warm,
As the new song starts.
She might have found a new will to live,
Like every night, watching the blissful stars.
