Baby Halstead

Untitled Part 1

Will Halstead had gotten off the plane and walked through the airport, he was in the windy city of Chicago. His home. He was in New York for a while, he finally had enough and moved back home. But he didn't return alone.

Next to him was a little girl around four years old, she had fiery red hair just like he did, she had big chocolate brown eyes that matched his. Some of her facial features belonged to her mother. The rest was all Will.

One night Will had partied a little too hard with a woman, Gia. He hadn't seen her since, one day about a year later a baby girl was left on his doorstep with a note. Gia had given up her daughter she named, Luna Bella. Since that day not only has Will's life been turned upside down he has changed for his daughter. She was his everything. There was nothing he wouldn't do for her.

The older Halstead knew he could raise his daughter alone, he's been doing it for four years so far. But he didn't want to raise her alone, he wanted her to be around family. Will had a brother, Jay who still lived in the city along with their father. He was a bit hesitant about bringing his daughter around his father. His father could have a way with words and he wasn't gonna have his father hurt his little girl.

Jay, on the other hand, may be more accepting. He would do just about anything for his brother. They may have fights but in the end they'll always protect each other. And now who knows, Jay would do the same for his niece.

The father and daughter had gotten into a cab, Luna was tired from the plane ride she leaned into her father's side sucking her thumb. Looking down Will saw her and smiled.

"Sleep my little love" He whispered, kissing her head.

She muttered incoherently and fell asleep, Will had given the taxi driver Jay's address. He wanted to surprise his brother. After the drive Will and Luna had arrived at Jay's apartment. The toddler was a bit cranky; she didn't wanna wake up just yet. Will wouldn't be able to carry her and their bags.

"I'm sleepy daddy" She whined.

"I know honey, once we go up and see your uncle I'll see if he'll let me lay you down for a nap" Will told her.

"Do you think he'll like me?"

"Sweetheart he'll love you"

"You think so?"

"I know so"

She smiled as they went in and went to Jay's apartment. Detective Jay Halstead was exhausted, he and his team just did a huge bust followed by a big arrest. Hank had given them all a couple days off to rest. He was watching tv and sipping a beer when there was a knock on his door. Setting his beer down he got up to answer it when he opened the door he was shocked seeing his brother.

"Will" Jay spoke in utter shock. "W-what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to come see my favorite brother. And I have someone else I'd like you to meet" Will replied.

"Is that him daddy?" Came Luna's small voice.

Hearing the girly voice the young detective looked down to see the little girl and his eyes went wide. His brother..was a father. Which made him an uncle. Will bent down to his daughter.

"Yes it is, Luna, I want you to meet your Uncle Jay. Jay, I'd like you to meet your niece, Luna. Luna Bella Halstead"

Looking down at the small girl, when Jay saw her one thing he knew for certain; she was her father's twin.

"She's beautiful man," Jay looked at his brother.

"Thank you"

Luna hid behind her father slightly feeling nervous and scared. Will smiled softly at her. "It's alright sweetheart, he won't hurt you"
