Chapter Three

Sey's POV

I decide to go home and rest, since I have been given a two week suspension. Ursula leaves us in the middle of the hallway clearly pissed. I totally understand why she's angry , we had nothing to do with the attacks by the Werewolves. But shit ! four Humans dead and twenty injured ? we messed up bad! Hakim takes Summer home to cheer her up and I'm left with Ahim in the hallway​.

" Wanna grab some Starbucks before we cuddle?" He asks grinning sheeplessly at me. He knows I cannot resist food. And yes we have Starbucks in the Glade Maze. Actually anything you would want from Starbucks, to McDonald's, KFC to Targets , Macy's and Conner , absolutely anything. The thing is I was born here in the Glade Maze and I have no idea how the whole grouping of supernaturals came about , but what I do know is, it was the idea of our ancestors, since most humans, who form the largest population in the world refuse to accept us , so we were gathered and sealed or locked , I don't know which , here with the humans who were willing to join. That is as far as I know. The history of the Glade Maze is not something we talked about. And there is no way out, well as far as I'm concerned. And nobody tries to venture out because if they do..finito! they are succumbed to the wondering beasts outside as punishment and are never allowed back.

I snap out of my thoughts and turn to Ahim and nod yes. He grabs my hand and we walk like the couple we are towards the parking lot. That reminds me

" I need to give the keys to the twins so they can drive themselves home " I tell him and he nods. I text them separately to meet me at the parking lot. I decide that whoever gets here first is the one I'm going to hand the keys to, but unfortunately they both arrive at the same time .

" Whossop lover boy " Cecil beams at Ahim and he only chuckles

" Guys I'm going home with Ahim so you're going to have to drive yourselves " I inform them and they eye me suspiciously.

" But we just got here like two hours ago , why are you leaving so soon ?" Cyril asks with raised eyebrows .

" I'm sick " I'm quick to lie since it's obvious they didn't hear my name being mentioned from the syren because they were at orientation.

" Uh-huh " Cecil mumbles not buying my lie , then he whispers something in his brothers ear which Ahim and I both hear thanks to our Bigfoot hearing. " They are going to do the deed " he whispers

" No we're not ! " I cringe and blush while Ahim has an amused expression on I know he's trying not to laugh at the twins expense and at my expression cause he knows I still haven't popped the cherry . Well duh I have my reasons. I glare at the twins and for their punishment I drop the keys on the floor so they can wrestle for it and just as I do , they rush and begin push each other for it. I ignore them and motion for Ahim that we should leave. He does me the honor and opens the door to the passenger side for me and I settle down, and fix my seatbelt while he does same. He drives off campus and ten minutes later we arrive at Starbucks. We agree to eat in a booth instead of ordering take out. We order a large size burger and fries and a large glass of diet Coke plus two straws so we can eat together.

" So you're going to tell me what happened?" He asks as soon as the waiter leaves taking our order. I shake my head no. He knows I won't tell him. He knows I have trust issues especially when it comes to him , plus he's the Baron's son which means I'll get into more trouble sooner than later cause I know he will inform his father immediately I tell him. His responsibility always comes first.

" No " I finally mumble

" Fine " he sighs

" But you know I'll find out anyway right? " he asks

" Yes " I whisper cause I know it's true

" So why don't you just tell me " he pouts and I giggle , he's always so cute when he pouts , makes him look younger

" Please don't push it Ahim " I plead

" At least I got you to laugh " he says and I smile more. The waiter comes back with our food and we dig in. I had no idea I was this hungry, until the food came in..oh yes I only eat a banana this morning.

We arrive at my house and find aunt Sylvia outside petting a cobra. Another thing about Bigfoot's, we have the ability to tame wild animals easily like domestic ones . But I never enjoy doing it.

" Sey dear, Ahim! " she acknowledges us

" Hello Aunt Sylvia " Ahim greets her

" You guys back from campus already ? " She asks clearly surprised

" em ..yeah Sey felt a little sick so I decided to bring her back " Ahim lies for me and I try to put on a sick face

" Oh Sey what's wrong my dear ? " she gets up instantly and is by my side touching my face, my cheeks and forehead and I try not to laugh at her expense, she loves me too much

" Nothing severe aunt, just a killer headache " I try to soot her

" A killer headache ! " She gasps

" Off to bed you go , I'll get you some Advil later " she orders and starts pushing me towards the direction of my room

" um .. can Ahim join me ?" I ask and she smiles still pushing me to my room

" Sure! why not " she says and Ahim follows us chuckling slightly. When we enter my room, she lays me on the bed like a child, takes off my shoes and tucks me under the duvet. God do I love her ?

" And you! take your shoes off " she motions to Ahim and he obliges

" On the bed you go " she says to him and he obeys again not trying​ to hide his amused smile. He lies flat beside me, making himself comfortable and I snuggle his chest. Aunt Sylvia leaves immediately and closes the door gently behind her.

" God I love that woman " Ahim speaks my thoughts from earlier and I playfully glare at him.

" Hey! she's mine " I snap

" Sorry to break it to you but technically shes my aunt " he says and ruffles my hair. Well he's right though . Aunt Sylvia is a sister to his father , the Baron and they are both my legal guardians.

" yeah yeah yeah whatever " I pout and roll my eyes at him

" Don't worry I can share , only because it's with you " he jokes and I smile starring into his blue eyes

" Only if you tell me why you were called into the Chancellor's office " he says and I sigh , here we go again! I knew he wasn't going to let it go

" Thought you said you were going to find out another way ? " I say and turn away from him so he can't see my face

" Yes ..but I want to hear it from you, you are my girlfriend and you should be able to tell me things " he persuades. I can't tell him. I know it's because I don't trust him which is bad for our relationship but I can't or don't want to. A huge part of me doesn't want to but I can't tell it to his face, that I don't trust him. I know it will hurt his feelings. We've been together for two years and it sucks that I can't confined in him the way I want to but I can't, I just can't.

" Since you're over thinking it just forget I asked " he sighs and nuzzles his face in my hair. Gosh why does he have to be so understanding?

" Are you mad at me ? " I whisper after some time

" Yes " he answers shortly and I turn to face him, he has his eyes closed but opens them when he feels me starring

" But I love you and so I'm going to let it go " he whispers back and plants a chaste kiss on my lips, I deepen the kiss, and kiss him back eagerly, showing him how much I appreciate it. He breaks the kiss and tugs a strand of my hair behind my ear, not breaking eye contact. The intensity of his gaze making me feel guilty.

" You should rest " he suggests and I nod

" I'll stay here with you " he adds and I smile

" Don't you have things to do " I ask concerned, I don't want him wasting his entire day with me

" They can wait, now sleep you'll need it " he kisses my forehead and I close my eyes. Gosh I don't deserve him but a part of me wishes that I do. I soon drift off
