Chapter Nineteen

Sey's POV

It takes me a second to recognize the voice. Ahim's! And when I do , I shove Adrian by the chest pushing him off me and my heart begins to beat fast , real fast. I force myself to divert my eyes from Adrian's smug looking face and face my boyfriend. Who's looking confused and livid , he's taking turns looking between Adrian and I trying to figure out what's actually going on.

" I asked you , what you were doing to my girlfriend ? " He finally settles his stare on Adrian taking a determined step towards him.

" Ahim ....please , I can explain " I find myself saying. Wtf?

" Explain what ? " Adrian is the one to ask me and I look at him like what the fuck? I'm literally trying to save both our asses. But coming to think of it , there's no way Ahim's going to win if it comes to a one on one combat between the two . I mean just looking at Adrian's build alone is a plus, his really defined muscle through his shirt. I immediately blush when the guys both catch me ogling Adrian.

" Um I mean... What I was trying to say is , there's nothing going on , Adrian and I were just talking getting to know each other , since we'll probably be seeing each other often since - "

" Enough Sey , I think he gets it " Adrian cuts me off and I find myself blushing. Tf?

" It's getting late Sey , you need to get home " Ahim says to me but his eyes still on Adrian who seems to find some kind of pleasure form straring at me.

" I'll walk you " Adrian says and I'm about to say no when Ahim cuts in

" I'll walk her she's my Girlfriend ! " Ahim emphasis the word girlfriend and I roll my eyes to the back of my head.

" I think I'm old enough to walk myself home " I say and walk out on them making my way out of the woods.
I guess I can't call sheackle my secret hideout anymore thanks to those two assholes. I hear footsteps approaching and I begin to walk faster , I don't think I have it in me to face which one of the two guys, going to come out of the woods.

" Sey !! " And of course it's Ahim much to my disappointment .

" Sey ! Sey we need to talk, slow down please " he says with so much desperation in his voice that I almost tear up. I know how shitty I've been to him . Since the welcome ceremony, and me avoiding him only for him to find me almost getting my face sucked by another guy. Like I haven't hurt him enough.

I stop and turn around to face him. My resolve wearing with every step he takes towards me.

" I'm sorry Ahim " I find myself saying and he looks extremely confused

" Talk to me Sey . What going on? I know we haven't been talking much lately and it's all my fault I've been to busy to pay attention to you -" Next thing I realize, my lips are on his and we're moving in sync , our kiss is tainted by the tears running down my cheeks.

" Spend the night with me . I just want to talk please " he says after he breaks the kiss , and I find myself nodding and we walk towards his house , our fingers entwined.

The entire walk to Ahim's , I'm numb. I can't think and I literally can't feel shit! When we finally make it to his house, Ahim tries to get us in quietly ,without anyone seeing us but he fails since we still have guests.

" Ahim we need to see the guests off " the Baron tells his son , immediately he spots us.

" You too Sey " he says to me. To my distaste, Ahim walks me to the front of the house where all our departing guests are, including Adrian. He's staring at Ahim's and I laced hands, glaring hard. And if looks could kill , Ahim will be six feet down right now.

Without saying a word he gets into a black porsche with his dad and I look away . I shiver staring at the tinted window of the car. Ahim seems to notice me shiver and brings me closer to him. I don't know how but I can somehow feel Adrian's gaze on us through the tinted window of his car. I just zoom out for the rest of the time till all the guests leave. I tell Summer an Norkys to take the lead and that I'll catch up with them later. They leave but not untill Norkys gives me a weird we'll talk later look . After everyone says they're goodbyes and call it a night Ahim finds my hand again and walks me to his room. I've been in here a thousand times but today it somehow feels different , much more colder.

" Cold " Ahim asks me pointing to my shivering hands. Without waiting for me to reply he moves to turn on the heater. With he's back turned to me , I feel like this is my best chance and I blurt out ...

" I think we need to break up "
