Chapter Twenty One

Sey's POV

It's been two days since the Alliance meeting between the bigfoots and the vampires. Exactly two days since I broke Ahim's heart. Exactly two days since my body first felt , the heat and that tingling sensation people call arousal. Two days of repeating nightmare and two days of thinking about , that certain someone who made me feel that certain way. Don't worry , it doesn't have anything to with my heart, it's just my hormones doing its job from not having tasted what it needs to taste. Fuck Chastity ! I need to get out of the soup.

The girls and I decided that we would stay on the low and avoid school for a week until the dust settles down about, our involvement with the werewolves attack. We found time to destroy the evidence we stole at the chancellor's office and watch it burn to dust. And since we haven't heard anything from the school board , or our Baron, we decided we were going to head back to campus today.

I quickly get dressed , eat breakfast , right in time for Ursula to pick me up. A few days back, since I wasn't going to school , I decided to let the twins have the keys to the family's Audi and I'll be catching rides from my friends, which they of course don't mind.

I say my greetings to Aunt Sylvia before walking out the door to Ursula's car

" Hey " I smile at her and she gives me a wink before driving towards campus. Once we arrive , we walk straight to the cafeteria towards our table , where Summer and Hakim are busily flirting.

" Sup guys ? " I greet them and Summer gives me a wave while Hakim just plain blank ignores me. I keep looking at him , even when we're seated but he keeps avoiding my gaze. Did I do something wrong? You broke up with his brother dummy ? How do you think he's doing ? Oh shit!

" Do you guys smell that ? " Ursula interrupts my inner turmoil grinning

" Nope " we all chime in

" That smells like freedom bitches " she blurts out ,her grin widening more

" I agree " Hakim adds " I don't know what I would have done if you guys actually got suspended " he says and we all nod

" It was a close call with those vampires though " Summer says and we all agree with her , I keep trying to stop my mind from going to that certain vampire till...

" Do you guys smell that ? " Ursula says again with a serious expression

" Please no more freedom jokes " Summer huffs

" No shit ! Do you guys smell that ? " Ursula says again and I do. Smoke . Smells like smoke , like something is burning but that something smells like flesh..oh shit

Immediately students are on their feet rushing outside the cafeteria doors just like us. Once we get outside , we notice how crowded the campus ground is , but what is weird is that they are in a circle , like they are surrounding something .My friends and I shuffle our way in the mist of bodies till we get closer to the scene. In the middle of the student body , is a large pile of ash scattered across the floor , in three different spots with three sets of rings on each.

Two wailing girls from across us catch my attention

" What the hell is happening? " I say to no one in particular. Everyone just seem to be murmuring something.

" Hey Chelsea , do you know what happened ? " Ursula finds a girl from one of her classes and asks her. The girl seems to be in a daze, shocked from whatever it was that she saw. Her lips keeps moving but nothing comes out till finally

" Everything happened in a blur , I was on my way to class , when all of a sudden , some figures blurred pass three girls, who were standing right there, " she says pointing to the spot where the ashes are " next I knew the girls were screaming and their bodies were on flames ...they...they took off they're daylight rings."

" They were vampires " Summer points outs and Chelsea nods her head, tears in her eyes I notice the clan mark on her neck, she's a vampire too

"The Nax " she says

" What ??" Hakim asks her

" Werewolves. It was the werewolves that did this " she answers Hakim angrily

" How'd you know ? Did you see them? " Ursula asks her grabbing her shoulder

" No. But think about it who else would do this , they attacked the humans at the clon camps auditions , and they have enough speed to be able to snatch the girls daylight rings. Trust me , the bigfoots wouldn't dare face a vampire and neither will a human " Chelsea shrugs and leaves the scene

" I hate to admit it but she's right " Hakim says running his hands through his hair

" What is it they want ?" Summer asks the same question in my head. Before any of us can find the answer to her question. The Chancellors show up and five other huge, intimidating males , I notice Baron Molle , our Baron and Baron Luther , the Baron of the vampires and apparently Adrian's dad. I only notice him because of their visit to our territory two days ago. The rest of the three men I do not know but the smaller looking one , I guess he is the Baron for the humans. This five intimidating leaders make up the Glade council. Who ever did this was fucked. Period!

" Due to the current situation, school is going to be out for today , all lectures postponed. Other informations will be passed on to you later on today. Everyone is dismissed for today please get home safely. " The head Chancellor says with so much authority that everyone scurries on towards their territories.

We also turn to leave not before receiving a suspicious eye from the vice chancellor.

" So much for a free day " Summer sighs and we all make our way back home.
