Merry Christmas

(F/d)- favorite drink

Y/n stood at the living room window with a warm mug of (f/d) watching the snow fall onto the ground. Christmas had always been their favorite holiday; the lights, baking cookies, wrapping gifts, spending time with their friends and family.

This was the first year they were spending it with their boyfriend Floris, they were so excited they could hardly sleep. The pale moonlight hitting the snow making it shine made their heart melt, it was breathtaking.

They took a sip of their drink and continued to watch the snow outside, they didn't turn from the window when they heard the soft slaps of bare feet on the hardwood flooring. The footsteps belonging to the only other person in the house.

"(Y/n) what are you still doing awake? It's 4am!"

(Y/n) turned and looked at Floris and smiled, they turned back to the window as Floris wrapped his arm around their waist and looked out the window with them. A Snow White rabbit hopped through the snow and (Y/n) smiled.

"Sorry, couldn't sleep"

Floris smiled fondly and looked at his partner.

"You really like Christmas huh?"

"Always have, I've got so many memories from my childhood with Christmas"

(Y/n) smiled a bit as they thought about all the good memories they had as a kid during Christmas. Opening presents, going through their stocking, visiting friends and family, the big dinner they'd cook.

"Floris?"

He hummed and held (y/n) closer, shivering from the cold air by the window.

"What if we opened gifts right now?"

"Right now? Like 4am right now?"

"Yeah!"

"Why?"

"I dunno, I just can't wait any longer"

"(Y/n) you only have to wait 4 more hours"

"That's 4 hours too many though"

(Y/n) had dragged out the "o" for a childish dramatic effect, it seemed to have worked its magic. Floris rolled his eyes but he eventually gave into their childish antics nonetheless.

"Fine, but just one"

"Yay"

(Y/n) practically skipped over to the tree with excitement bubbling within them. They found a spot on the couch and pat the seat next to them for their partner. Once he sat down they grabbed the first gift.

It was a smallish box wrapped and shiny gold paper with a bright red bow on the top. Floris grabbed a bigger sized box, it was wrapped in shiny green wrapping paper with silver ribbon tied around it.

"On the count of three we open, ready?"

Floris nodded his head and started the count down.

"3"

"2"

"1"

The two of them rapidly ripped into the brightly colored paper and opened the boxes their gifts came in.

(Y/n) had gotten Floris a brand new microphone after hearing him complain about it being shitty, he had it for the longest time and it was losing its golden touch.

Floris had gotten their partner a certain coat that they had their eye on for a while. Their old one had many holes and had gotten worn out.

"You got me a new Mic?"

Floris' eyes had lit up like a child's and he smiled widely.

"You got me the coat I wanted?"

(Y/n)'s eyes had lit up the same way, as if they were the same person.

"Oh Floris, thank you so much"

"Thank you (Y/n) I needed a new mic for the longest freaking time"

They hugged each other and shared a small yet passionate kiss. And pressed their foreheads together, sitting there and enjoying the fact that they both knew the other as well as they did. Truly the greatest gift in their opinions.

"Can we go back to bed now please?"

(Y/n) laughed and nodded. Floris stuck his hand out and helped (Y/n) off the couch and continued to hold their hand until the got back to the bedroom. Boots their cat running through the doorway as they stepped in, finding her place at the end of the bed where she instantly fell asleep. The two set their gifts on the dresser on the other side of the room and got back into the bed.

(Y/n) tucked their head under Floris' chin and he wrapped his arm around their waist. Soon (Y/n)'s soft breathing and slight snores were heard by Floris, he smiled and kissed his partners head.

"Goodnight (Y/n). Merry Christmas."

He smiled and soon fell into a peaceful sleep, matching his breathing pattern and heart beat with his partner. In an endless state of content and happiness.

WOAH HELLO GUYS. I know it's been awhile but I wanted to put out a chapter before Christmas which is tomorrow for me (it's currently like 9pm for me so perfect time to do so) anyway, merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. If not I'm sorry but I think it's a cute chapter nonetheless. I said I'd update regularly but school and life has gotten in the way. But I am on break for the next two weeks or so, so hopefully I'll put out more parts.
