A/n:   HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  Since it's the festive season I made a holiday special for the Bad Batch!  Crosshair can be a bit of a Grinch, but he comes around ;).  Real quick just saying that everyone's support for my book has been the best gift ever!  I couldn't have made it this far without you!  ❤️💚❤️💚❤️💚❤️

Btw I be a curious bean, so what holiday do you celebrate and what's your favorite tradition?  Or what are some stories that you always tell?  Favorite holiday movie?  Sorry for all the questions, I'm just bored and curious :p. But I celebrate Christmas and my favorite tradition is probably decorating our tree.  Anyways, I hope you have happy, fun, and safe holidays!  And in case I'm not back before New Years, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

"2 days until Life Day!" Wrecker cheered one particular morning. The Bad Batch was on leave again (how convenient, right!) and just in time for the holidays! Unfortunately, none of them had really celebrated Life Day before. Abby's childhood was rough enough, her father would never have allowed ridiculous things, such as holidays, to worm their way into his calendar. Echo always had small celebrations with his brothers in the 501st, though that usually just meant sneaking bottles of against-regulation booze into the barracks late at night and several drunken games of sabacc. The remaining Bad Batchers were often too busy on missions, or never saw the point in the seasonal festives. Though it seemed that most of the team wanted to change the lack of celebrations.

"Damn, I had no idea, especially since you've been counting down since last month," Echo joked at Wrecker's announcement.

"I'm excited!" Wrecker excused.

"We noticed," Hunter remarked dryly.

"We need a Life Day tree!" Abby grinned enthusiastically.

"No," Crosshair declared flatly without looking up from his breakfast. Out of everyone on the ship, Crosshair had always been the most reluctant to spend, or in his opinion, "waste time on frivolous holidays".

"Grinch," Tech muttered under his breath, clearly disappointed as he sipped on his steaming mug of caf.

"It's not up to you, Cross. We're getting some decorations in this ship," Abby countered stubbornly.

Hunter cleared his throat loudly.

"Okay fine, it's up to Hunter," she admitted.

"It is his ship," Echo reminded them fairly.

Abby then turned to the Sergeant, putting on her most hopeful expression.  She knew full and well that the Sergeant would be a softie if she pulled that face.

"Please, Hunter!?" she begged.

"Yeah, please?!" Wrecker joined.

Hunter sighed, both amused and exasperated by their child-like shenanigans, "I don't see why not."

"Yay!" Everyone except Crosshair cheered.

"Asinine," the remaining trooper muttered instead.

"One problem though: where will we get a tree?" Echo asked.

"Basically from any planet that celebrates Life Day," Abby replied.

"What planet doesn't celebrate Life Day?" Wrecker frowned.

"Plenty of them! Lots of planets have different holidays and traditions; for example-" Tech began.

"I'm gonna stop you there before what could be a simple explanation becomes an hour long lecture," Abby declared.
