A/N: Been a hot minute hasn't it?  It's good to be back into writing and posting though. So a couple, things to go over before you read.  For starters, thanks to BB release,  I haven't posted since February, which I am very sorry about.  I had hit writers block, but in the last week I came up with some ideas so there is going to be a lot of content coming soon.  There's a bit more info on my announcement board if your curious.

Anyways, this particular chapter is basically some short stories featuring Tech; but they either weren't long enough to be their own chapters, or I didn't know how to  incorporate them into the story.  The "Tech is baby"notion kind of went into overdrive.  There are 3 sections to this one, and they take place at all different times, which I note at the beginning of each.  I am also going to do one of these for Wrecker, Hunter, and Crosshair (possibly Abby and Echo too, I'm not sure yet) so be on the lookout for those.

Anyways, I have stalled you for long enough!  Enjoy!

Sec.1

When Tech first met his team

Time: Pre-Clone Wars, Bad Batch are of cadet age

Notes: So, this is how I headcanon for Tech to have joined the other Bad Batchers.  Nuf said.

A young, four year-year-old cadet (well at age 8 thanks to excelled aging) trotted after a female Kaminoen scientist down the pearly white corridors of the Kamino cloning facility. The cadet, whose only name was CT-X9911, was frightened, even if he wouldn't admit it. He had just been pulled from yet another training session. Last time this had happened, (only a week ago) it was for "being disrespectful" when he was really just trying to share his knowledge with others! Well, it was true that he wasn't paying the least bit of attention to his teachers during that time...But either way he had been punished, not to mention the bullying from the other cadets had increased drastically. Remarks ranging from "dumb four-eyes" to "mutant lab retarrd" had all been assulted at him, which the young trooper did his best to ignore, even if they did make him want to curl up into a ball and disappear forever.

Though it was true that he had genetic mutations, ones that gave him an exceptionally curious mind, the disdain from the other cadets was more cutting than knives. According to the genetic engineers, these alterations were not going to interfere with his training. Despite this, it was found that the cadet didn't have the self-control or discipline that the average clone trainees had. His mind would wander and he would often find loopholes in training sessions. He would care-freely chatter away about things that even the older clones didn't understand, despite his young age.

CT-X9911 realized that he must have zoned out again because he found himself standing outside a closed door, almost absent-mindedly walking straight into the Kaminoen who had led him there. Thankfully he had stopped himself before this had happened. Regaining his focus, X9911 stared at the door that he had been led to. He had passed by this door before. It was just off the experimental wings of the cloning facility, somewhere he himself had spent much of his earliest years of life. Out of the corner of his eyes, he had once or twice spotted a couple other cadets, ones that appeared to be just a year or two older than himself shuffle inside, but could never get a good enough look to catch any details about them. Was he going to be punished in there? The thought made a cold sweat run down his back and he shivered minutely.

"CT-X9911, because your mutations seem to be affecting your training more than they should, you will be placed in a separate squadron; one for defective, yet useful clones such as yourself," the Kamineon explained shortly.
