Sec. 1
When Hunter got his tattoo (and convinced Crosshair to get one too)
Time: Pre-Clone Wars, Bad Batchers are teenagers
Notes:Basically how I headcanon Hunter getting his tattoo
All four of the members of Clone Force 99, or Bad Batch as they preferred to be called, were lounging in their barracks in Kamino. The oldest of the squad, Hunter, was lying on his bunk while deep in thought. At this time, he was eight and a half years old, appearing sixteen thanks to his advanced aging. Meanwhile, Crosshair had just turned sixteen too, Wrecker was fourteen, and Tech was thirteen.
"I want to get a tattoo," Hunter prompted out of the blue, still staring at the ceiling.
Crosshair, Wrecker, and Tech all looked at him, considering his declaration. The third responded almost immediately though.
"That's against regulation!" Tech exclaimed indignantly, to which Hunter scoffed.
"So?" he argued, turning his head to face his youngest brother.
"So?! So they might not let you graduate!" Tech cried, crossing his arms over his chest.
The younger cadet was right; tattoos were banned by the Kaminoens. Probably because they didn't believe in individuality in clones, or so Hunter supposed. But he didn't care much. The prospect of having a tattoo excited him! Besides, graduating really wasn't a concern to him at the moment. The Bad Batch still had another couple years of training to go before they could be deployed, if they ever were.
"You have already received several warnings about the length of your hair, and now you want to get a tattoo, something that is permanently going to be attached to your body?" Tech continued to rant.
"I think you should go for it," Crosshair shrugged, though partly to just get Tech riled up.
"Seriously? You're on his side?" Tech huffed in exasperation.
"Yeah," Cross nodded casually. "It'd be cool."
"Yeah!" Wrecker joined in. "It'd shut the regs up too! Show 'em who's got the balls to get ink against regulation!"
"Well, where do you plan to get said tattoo?" Tech challenged, believing that he had won the argument as he returned to his tinkering.
That was a true obstacle in the plan, possibly the only one standing between Hunter and getting any sort of body art. Nowhere in Topica City could he get one, since they were banned by the Kaminoens. And it wasn't like any of the regs would help him...
"I'll give you one," Crosshair offered suddenly.
"What do you mean, you'll give him one?!" Tech parroted, his head jerking up once more.
"I've got steady hands. I could do it," the young sharpshooter repeated.
"Aw yeah!" Wrecker cheered.
"Really?" Hunter turned to his brother for confirmation, looking quite hopeful.
"Sure. We'll just have to get a hold of the supplies," Crosshair shrugged, already devising a plan.
