𝑱𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒂 𝑬𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒔 ( 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 )

𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 7

I went out into the schoolyard, still confused, and felt the soft warmth of the sun caressing my face.

I was looking for Keelin or one of her friends when someone bumped into me, Trevor.

He spread an apology.
I interrupted him.

" Don't worry about it,  I wanted to thank you to have defend me in front of the twins"

" They didn't have to tell you that, you gave them a great beat-down," he laughted. " I didn't know you could fight so well,".

I saw the twins in my visual field.

They looked at me with dark look, but to my great relief they didn't come.

I wasn't afraid of them but I wasn't sure  to have the advantage if we fought again. Maybe I could win against one of them but not both at the same time.

I was breaking the silence that had set in between Trevor and me, which was getting more and more awkward.

" Do you know where Keelin is? " I said.

" Yes, follow me," he smiled.

After a few minutes walking down the halls, we found her with Cassidy and Rayan.

" You didn't get too yelled at by the principal ?"  the boy asked me.

" Are you kidding ? It's not at her to be yelled at, the twins didn't have to say that. I hope they got a good punishment. I didn't know you could fight as well. Anyway, I hope they get a big penalty!" Cassidy declared.

I was laughing inside, if my life was only about giving sanctions to people who deserved them, it would be much easier.

There were too many questions in my head, who was Deucalion? What do the twins have after me? Why did Mrs. Morrell call me Talia?

Keelin took my mind off it
" I've got good news, the english teacher is absent so we finish at 3pm. Do you want to come with Cassidy and me to do shopping ?"

" Yes of course," I answered with a big smile.

I was just hoping that I wouldn't run into the twins, or Liam and his friends. Basically no supernatural beings.

The bell rang and after saying goodbye to Trevor and Rayan, Keelin and I headed to the economic room where we have class.

After we got settled in, the teacher started his class when all of a sudden he stopped, looked at me and exclaimed
" I know who you remind me of, now,  he says to me, it's Laura Hale. "

" Sorry ? " I asked, astonished

" You look a little bit like her. Since I saw you you reminded me of someone, but I couldn't figure out who."  He says to me with a smile as if he had just invented the wheel. Then he went back to normal.

" I warned you he was weird," Keelin whispered to me. " Do you know her?"

" Never heard of her " I whispered.

" I believe that Liam has a crush on you " my friend said, smiling from ear to ear on changing the subject.

So I asked her why, and she answered that he kept staring at me.

I pretended to take my ruler from my bag and looked at Liam.
And indeed he was looking at me, but as I suspected, there was nothing affectionate in his gaze but rather fear.

But when he saw that I was looking at him, he looked away.
