𝑱𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒂 𝑬𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒔 ( 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 )

𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 14

"Shut up," the coach shouted, "so I want you to run for 20 minutes, stay on the path, is that clear?"

"Yes coach," we replied in unison.

"Go for it"

I started to run slowly to keep up with Keelin, but I needed to talk to Liam about the murder.

So after warning my friend, I sped up and joined Liam who was ahead.

Like I am an alpha it didn't take me  long to catch up with him.

When he saw me coming, he looked stressed.

"Don't make that face," I said, laughing to warm up the atmosphere.

He sped up and I did the same.

" You know, I'm an alpha, you can't outrun me, you don't stand a chance."

" What do you want from me"

" Why do you and your pack think that it was a supernatural that killed the girl?"

" Scott said we'll tell you about it at lunch," he replied. "Damn it, the twins are coming!" he ranted, looking behind us.

I turned around and saw that the beta was right, Aiden and Ethan were running towards us.
When they reached us, they pushed me to the ground.

"Did you kill Madison Rolsi? " asked one of the twins.

" Why are you all asking me this question? No, I didn't kill her!"

One of the twin brothers picked me up and slammed me against a tree. He looked me in the eyes.

"Tell us the truth, did you kill her or not?"

I looked around but no other students were there yet. I made my eyes shine.
" I already answered you, I never saw her. Now get your hand off me."

"Stop it guys," Liam interjected, "if she tells you it's not her."

" We didn't talk to you," Aiden contradicted him.
He turned his attention back to me, "or what?" he asked with a provocative air.

I kneed him in his sensitive parts.
He screamed in pain and bent double.

I took advantage of this moment to push him back, by giving him a kick in the head.
He collapsed on the ground.
His brother rushed at me and tried to hit me, but before his fist could reach me I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back, forcing him to fall on his knees.

I heard the breath and the footsteps of the other students in the distance.

I let him go and stepped back. Ethan and Aiden started to get up.
" I warned you, now leave me alone," I said, before leaving.

After a few meters, I noticed that Liam was following me.

"Thank you," I said to him after a couple of minutes.

" For what? " he asked, surprised.

" For have trying to help me even if it wasn't very successful."

" You're welcome" , he said gently. "We don't like them either." The we referred to his pack but as he pronounced the them I understood that he was not talking only about the twins.

" It's an alpha pack, isn't it?" I asked him, I was afraid of his answer.

He nodded.
