"Jade, are you okay?" Derek said with concern.

He looked at the man, his eyes turned blue and he rushed towards him. Before he could reach him, the man roared and countered him by violently throwing a desk in his face. Derek and the debris were propelled into the air and landed a few feet behind me.

The man spoke up
"You're a beta, I'm an alpha, don't forget that"

He looked at Cora, who was next to me.

"We don't have to be enemies"

Kali positioned herself next to the man
" Ennis is right," she said, looking at Derek, "Talia trusted us, you know that".

So my grandmother knows them and trusted them, what kind of family is this?

"So why did you attack Jade?" Cora contradicted her

Kali looked at me, which gave me the creeps, but I didn't let it appear.

"We wanted to make sure she wasn't behind the death of the two students, also the twins told us that she defended herself rather well for a girl of her age, so we wanted to see for ourselves," she replied with a cruel smile.

Kali's phone rang
" Oh what a shame" she said with a sad pout, "we'll have to leave you", she declared ironically".

The alphas went to the threshold of the ex-door, and before passing it Kali gave me a last look
" See you later Jade Talia."

Once the alphas left, Derek and Cora rushed to me
"Jade, are you sure you're okay? What did they do to you? "

I reassured them and showed them the wound on my neck.

"Will it take longer to heal?" asked Cora.

Derek said yes,
" Are you sure it will be okay?"

" Don't worry", I let my hair down so nobody will see the wound.
"I have to get back to class."

They nodded.

After giving them my number and saving theirs "so I can call them if I have a problem, whatever it is" as Derek said, I headed back to class as if nothing had happened and as my life wasn't a total mess...
