Y/n didn't have the time to react to what she heard. Before she knew it, she was forced in a room with the maids closing the door behind themselves.
"What? Why am I here? Why are we in such a hurry-"
"Because you need a dress for the ball."
"Can't you guys order one instead?"
"I'm sorry to do this to you, Princess L/n, but we don't have an option. The ball is in a few days, so even if we did order a dress, it wouldn't arrive on time," one, supposedly named Nakamura, said.
"Also, custom dresses is all part of being royalty. Many royal families all over the world has their own designers to make their clothing. Now, please excuse while I get the designer. She possibly lost track of time," the one named "Kanzaki" said.
Kanzaki left the room to go find the designer, but after she left, there was mischievous smile on Nakamura's face. Y/n looked at her confused as Nakamura approached her.
"So...." she started as Y/n remained silent, "how do you feel about the prince holding you close as you dance the night away?"
Y/n's cheeks turned pink before she responded politely, "I'm afraid I won't be dancing at all. I never learned how to waltz."
"So he can teach you? Even better!" Y/n glared at her, but Nakamura ignored it and continued. "But something is picking my mind now, how come you never learned how to dance? Isn't that one of the first things you learn as a princess?"
"I- um...well, you see...I only recently found out I was a princess," Y/n shyly admitted.
"What!" Nakamura yelled in shock before an evil smile came to her face as she muttered to herself, "This is going to be good."
Before Y/n had the chance to question her, Kanzaki returned with a rushed young woman, who kept apologizing. The woman apologized once more before she explained that she will be taking Y/n's measurements. Y/n cooperated, yet she feels weird getting measured. Never in a day in her life did she image ending up like that. The measurements went by quickly, and Y/n was now sent to try on a few dresses to see what color suited her best. She came out trying on a color and was immediately rushed back in. She tried on different shades a pink, green, red, yellow, purple, blue, and more. Out of all the sample dresses she tried on, only a few colors were chosen, but Y/n has no idea which colors since they wanted the dress to be a surprise to her. Y/n honestly did not care much, but the maids seem excited.
Since there were dresses everywhere, the maids had to clean up. The princess offered to help, but they shooed her away and said to explore the castle in the mean time. Y/n sighed as she wandered around. She had absolutely no idea where is going, nor did she know where anything is. She already forgot her way back to the room she was just in. She didn't let that get to her as she walked through the king hallways, admiring the decor in the castle."And whats a princess like you doing here?" an all to familiar voice said.
"Well, she didn't intend to be here. She is just looking around," she replied.
"And she is speaking in third person?"
Y/n grunted, already annoyed with him, "Whatever! What are you doing here?"
"There's nothing better to do than mess with you."
"How did you know I was wandering around?"
"I didn't. I went to room where you were getting fitted, and the maids told me you went out."
"So then why were you trying to find me?"
"To tease you. I enjoy your frustration."
Y/n gave him a glare before trying to walk away.
"Where are you going? There is no where for you to do since you don't know anything about the castle."
"Anywhere away from you satisfies me!"
"Awh! You sure you don't want a little tour? I can show you rooms you never thought would be in a castle."
She turned around and huffed, "Like what?"
"You'll have to join me if you want to find out."
"Keep dreaming," she rolled her eyes.
"Princess, you know that my offer will only benefit you. You'll be able to know to see where you will be living and know where you're going."
Y/n took a second to cross her arm. It pained her that he was right, but she didn't want to be near him at all. Yet, there is a possibility that she can hide away from him if she were to stay in other rooms that isn't her bedroom. She decided to just go with it since it is more beneficial like he said.
She sighed, "you're right. Alright, I'll go."
"Shall we?" he said, offering his arm with his signature smirk.
"You can take me on the tour, but I am not putting my arm around yours."
"We're not going anywhere until you do it~" he smiled playfully.
She scoffed before roughly putting her arms around his. With that, both of them walked around the castle, exploring different rooms, arguing every once in a while, and creating a slightly closer bond.
