Thanksgiving break ended soon after that unfortunate holiday. Y/n was now back at school, dreading to face a certain someone. Her dreaded state washed away quickly as her best friend greeted her. She weakly smiled at her best friend, but she tried to make it seem friendly so they don't notice anything.
"Okay. What happened over break, Y/n?" they asked.
Y/n groaned, "I hate how you know me so well."
"I am your best friend," BSF/n retorted. "Now, tell me everything."
Y/n looked around cautiously to see if there was a certain red head around. She dragged BSF/n to a secluded hallways before simply saying, "So I met the person I'm supposed to marry-"
"You met him? that's great-" Her best friend began to say before Y/n interrupted.
"No it isn't great because it's-"
"Ah Y/n! There you are," an all-to-familiar voice said behind her.
Y/n jumped and turned around to see the one person she didn't want to bump into. She looked up to see the red head she was with a few days ago. He leaned against the wall with his eyes slightly squinty as he had his typical smirk on his face.
Y/n's eyes were wide open as she nervously stammered, "H-hi Karma! W-What are you doing here?"
"I thought I'd ask if you have something of mine," he said, leaning down making their faces inches apart.
Y/n knew exactly what he meant. He was asking about his jacket, which she has inside her backpack neatly folded. She wasn't sure how to approach him it, and she was actually about to tell her best friend about that until he popped out of nowhere. As hesitant as she was to approach him and give back, she couldn't pass the offer to mess with him a little.
"Oh you mean the jacket? I thought you wanted me to approach you with it?" Y/n teased.
"That depends if you have it with you, princess. You're the type of person to run late, so I figured you'd be the type to forget something too," he replied, standing tall and sticking his chest out with confidence.
"You're not wrong-" BSF/n butted im quickly before Y/n elbowed them with a glare.
After elbowing them, Y/n turned back with a faint smile to cover up what her best friend said. Y/n said, "I actually do have it. While you're here I might as well give it back-"
"Ah ah ah!" Karma interrupted, wiggling his finger side to side, "I said you had to approach me. I'm not accepting it until you give it to me properly."
Y/n smiles dropped into an annoyed pout, "What do you want me to do? Bow to you like a servant."
"Not a bad idea, but like I said before you have to approach me and give it to me. It's not that hard, princess."
Y/n huffed in annoyance. She figured she could give it to him in their first class just to get it over with. Fortunately, as if it was on cue, the bell rang to signal first period starts soon.
"Well, I'll hand it to you in first period, so I'll see you soon!" Y/n smiled before grabbing her best friend's wrist and rushed to their first period.
Karma watched her rush away with an evil grin. He shook his head as he stood up properly and turned the other direction. He rested his arms behind his head before saying to himself, "Princess, you should know me better than that."
Unfortunately for Y/n, he wasn't there first period or second period. The only time she has the chance to give it to him was either lunch, fifth period, sixth period, or after school. If she was honestly with herself, she'd rather get it over with so she doesn't have to deal with him...until the end of the semester... Y/n shook off the thought of it as she didn't want to get a headache from thinking about it.
