The rest of that day was a drag, people continued to ask how to catch his eye even tho Y/n kept saying she didn't have any intention to make him like her. Karma didn't make it better because he would tease her or show her slight signs of affection that made the people come back to her.

As annoying as it was to be in that situation, Y/n didn't let herself stress about it too much. Instead, she focused on midterms and spending time with her best friend and her father before leaving. On weekends, they would do simple things that were cherish-able to look back upon. From the little things like chilling in the house or their spot to going to an arcade. It was funny when her dad went with them to the arcade, and he was so terrible at playing the games. In the end, Y/n and BSF/n shared their tickets with him so he could get something.

Unfortunately, those times had to end since midterms were right around the corner. Y/n spent countless of hours preparing and studying for these tests. Due to her studying, she couldn't spend time with anyone. Generally, it isn't a bad thing, but right after midterms Y/n leaves her town. She took the tests stressed and depressed. Fortunately, she passed all of them with decent grades.

Currently, Y/n was finishing up packing her things with her best friend. She began packing the night before, resulting in her going to bed late. Her best friend came over the next morning and woke her up to help her finish packing before she leaves. Y/n was packing the last bit of her clothes before she heard her father call her down. Y/n went downstairs with her best friend following behind her. As soon as she reached the bottom step she saw her dad talking to...Karma. They seemed to be having a conversation until her father noticed Y/n's presence.

"Hey sweetheart! I was just chatting with your friend. He said he came to help load your boxes."

A shocked and confused look was on her face, "Right...what are you actually doing here?"

Karma had his typical sly smirk as he replied, "Like your father said, I'm here to help you with your stuff and put it in the truck outside. If you will excuse me Mr. L/n, I'm going to up and start getting some boxes."

"Go ahead. I'll be doing a couple of things for work," her father said.

Karma walked past the both of them with his chin held high. Y/n looked at BSF/n with the same shocked and confused look. She couldn't believe what just happened, and she was hoping her best friend was on her side.

Her best friend shook their head, "Give him a chance. He's a nice guy. You should trust him." They walked upstairs to catch up Karma while Y/n's eyes were wide and her jaw hit the ground.

Trust him? TRUST HIM? How can I trust a guy who put something in my food? I know he is putting up an act. He's trying to make himself like Prince Charming when he is actually a devil in disguise. Give him a chance? No way. Y/n thought to herself before groaning and going upstairs.

When she made it upstairs, she saw Karma holding boxes while her best friend was piling more boxes in his arms. Once he had as much as he could carry, he made his way out. He winked at her as he passed her and that just aggravated her more. She rolled her eyes and shook it off as she grabbed a couple of boxes and followed him. He insisted in putting the boxes in the van for her, but she placed them in the truck anyway.

It took almost two hours for the truck to be packed. Once all was finished, Y/n realized she had to say her final goodbyes. She grabbed her suitcase from her room and slowly made her way down the steps. Her eyes were filled with tears as she took a final look at her house. She didn't think she would leave the house yet. She thought this would happen for college, but not to become a queen.
