"Are you sure you don't want to go to the dance floor?" Komori Motoya asked his cousin, Sakusa Kiyoomi, who's been frowning since the wedding started.
"Yeah, I'm good." Sakusa said as he sipped on his glass of champagne. Komori frowned and sighed. "You know you shouldn't have attended the reception if you'll just frown like that tonight."
"And upset the newlyweds and let Bokuto whine about it for the rest of my life? No thanks." Sakusa said.
"Then at least enjoy the reception? Akaashi-kun was kind enough to put us here in the corner even if they wanted us to be on table four together with the others." Komori said.
"I'm good Komori, really. Please enjoy the dance floor on my behalf. You know I'm not into that." Sakusa said as he scrunched up his nose in disgust.
"Ugh, fine. But don't think of leaving me alone since you're my ride home. No backsies!" Komori said before vanishing to the dance floor.
Sakusa sighed for the nth time and called the waiter for another glass of champagne. He wanted to go home so badly but he didn't want to look like a 24-year-old guy with tantrums that hates people with germs and weddings.
Yes, he is, in fact, a germaphobe but people wouldn't understand it; some think he's afraid of the world and some do not know the meaning of barriers and he's too tired to explain himself already.
And no, he didn't dislike weddings but he didn't like it either. He just doesn't believe in marriages nor he could not see himself getting married or committing to someone like how his newlywed friend Bokuto did.
But he wouldn't lie if his heart didn't get soft the moment Bokuto and Akaashi exchanged vows earlier. He could see how sincere the two were as they exchanged their vows for a lifetime.
If it weren't their wedding, he would make fun of Bokuto crying like a kid at the altar earlier while Akaashi was trying to calm him down even if the younger male's eyes are close to tears too.
He thanked the waiter who's been serving him champagne all night and he knew, deep inside, the waiter wanted to give him bottles already instead of glasses.
But he didn't mind as he sipped to his glass and watched the people dance in the center. He squinted his eyes as he saw people dancing their hearts out.
In the middle he could see the best man and his friend, Kuroo being the life of the party like they were younger. He scrunched up his nose.
Nope, definitely not his kind of crowd.
He looked around and spotted the newlywed couple on their own table on their own world like they always were.
He remembered their college years where Bokuto first saw Akaashi at the library. He would never forget how Bokuto embarrassed himself, going straight to Akaashi who was studying silently and introducing himself loud enough to be kicked out from the library.
At first, he felt bad for the younger male to be bothered by their loud owl friend but somehow, the two clicked easily and started to have their own world whenever they're together as things worked between the two.
And now, here they are, just got married and diving in their own world, again.
Their relationship made him question himself at times. Questions like is he capable of finding love like how his friends did?
